I know Noor personally and was so saddened by this. Funny thing is, I came about this in an email that was sent to my father from a friend of his in Iraq! I had lost touch with Noor about 2 years ago after she was sent to Iraq and forced to marry a man. Apparently, she came back not long ago and was living with her current boyfriend (who is also Iraqi) and his family. It’s such a trajedy because Noor is such a sweet and intelligent girl. She always tried to please her family.

Now, the fact that he’d attempt to kill his daughter because he thinks she’s become too “westernized” is complete bullsh!t. They’ve been living in the U.S. for the past 16 years. Had he been so worried that his children were becoming too Westernized, he should have picked up and moved back to Iraq.

So horrible. She and her family will be in my prayers. She and her mother are very good people.

This is the most ridiculous article I’ve ever read, do you not hear the news? “we liberated Iraq for them”, how could you consider Iraq liberated when you freed it from one dictatorial (Saddam Hussein) but opened the borders welcoming hundreds of AlQaida terrorist to kill innocent people. is this not America’s business anymore in it’s war “on terror” this is the irony…and didn’t you hear about today’s bombings??? so until Iraq IS A SAFE place to live then question why people are coming as refugees to the United States

OG, no matter how you choose to portray yourself in your comments, you can’t possible be a Christian if you believe that this girl’s choice of dress or boyfriend should justify the Death Penalty.

I do believe, however, that if she dies, her FATHER should receive the Death Penalty – and since this happened in Arizona, there is a good chance he will.

I’d also like to comment that I find it interesting that a lot of people from the Middle East come to America to “make their fortunes” so they can retire back in their backward, third world homeland as wealthy men. If America is so bad, and their Muslim homeland is so great, why is it they cannot stay home and make their fortune there?

This incident was an indefensible travesty, and the father should, deservedly, be punished to the fulle extent of the law.

That being said, though, I think your shameless hate-mongering on the back of this tragedy is equally indefensible. And downright false.

Do you really want everyone to adopt American values? Because then they wouldn’t run down their own family-members: they’d ~~run down~~ liberate other families.

Muslims are not as sick as the priests that rape little boys. sadly christains kills their little kids 2,3,4 years of age their brains are not even fully developed and you call islam uncivilized. we don’t drink and get high and mess our brians the way you do. you get so drunk and then go driving thats a great religion as long as your happy, even though you end up killing an innocent person.oh yeah lets not forget the insurance money, you kill family members to get rich. we like to keep it clean and pure. i know so much people that work in hospital and they tell me disgusting stories about how fathers rapes their daughters or a brother raping his own sister. and they have kids from them. you modified your religion based on what you think is right, you don’t have any limits and rules to anything. everything is ok for you, what is there to look forward to when you go to heaven, nothing cuz you did it all on earth.

The first amendment secures freedom of speech. It does not provide provision for the advocacy of felonies. Sharia and its draconian tenets need to ruled treasonous hate speech.I fail to understand a social agenda in America that is clearly devoid of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”.

Heinous crimes that present a clear and present danger to the very fabric of the US Constitution should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Escape by deportation should not be allowed.
