On the day the Oscar nominations were announced, we warned you about “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp,” and posted the lyrics. No suprise that it won. Sorry, Dolly.
I’m just happy (I saw only 3 minutes of the Oscars last night) that “Paradise Now” did not win.

When you consider that thirty years after he’s on the scene Springsteen is doing an album that Dylan did over FORTY years ago, you’re gonna fault the Academy for being a decade behind the scene in music???

I dont expect grat Lyrical content from a Three six mafia or Crunk music, but I did enjoy the song. I saw the movie Hustle and Flow and I enjoyed it. However, I didnt see this one comming.

Speaking of pimps, I find it interesting that Inplainview is using this as an opportunity to pimp his blog.

A song about thehardship of a pimp. Why does Hollywood feel the need to “honor” the worst aspects of Black life?

Concerned Conservative, do you really feel that my comments are anything close to kissing and hugging?
