I am a Hispanic male and laughed when Griese said that. When did we all become so thin skinned and weak?

Not every statement that comes out of peoples mouths is racist.

Gus Johnson said that Titan RB Chris Johnson has “Running from the cops speed” I have never seen Gus Johnson so I have no ideas what race he is but that seemed way worse that what Griese said.

This country has become too bitter in general. Lighten up and enjoy life.

it seems as though when one of the man made pillars of the new social decorum gets dented, it signals mental rioting, prescripted indignation and the full thud of this new society’s heavy blotter.- damn the facts, he is no longer worthy of facts. His son ( brian griese not tom brady) was never on a team that contended for an unbeaten season where on earth did you come up with his wanting his son to fail? and more telling – what would it have mattered – aside from your dallying where liberals love to vacation i have enjoyed and admire your work. –aah

You can see this in many areas. The left gets a free pass to utter such slurs against blacks(and other minorities) and religious groups, as long as they are on the wrong side of their favored issue(Prop 8 or Late Term Abortion).

I didn’t hear any of what Stewart said. But I can’t imagine that if this is all true that Mitch hasn’t said anything about it. That is not like him. He is usually all over this kind of thing, whether he agrees with it or not.

I don’t think this is racist or bigoted at all. I’m from German descent and if someone said I was out “eating a brautwurst” I wouldn’t be offended.

If people continuously look for victimhood they will become perpetual victims in their own mind.

What ever happened to, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”?

Have we come so far down the path of multiculturalism, toler-ism, and victimhood that we can’t accept people for all the little foibles they may have; no matter how benign?

Griese should be fired because he’s a bad analyst! But I agree, if he seemed sincere in his apology, then the suspension is appropriate. And Stewart should no doubt be fired. From what you’ve reported, there doesn’t seem to be an acknowledgement of wrongdoing on Stewart’s part. That is what is most offensive…

There’s free speech hypocrisy. Whether one is a racist or not depends on the context and also where an offensive remark was made. There’s no fairness at all to the Left’s assault on bigotry and intolerance in this country. As we’ve learned, some racists, bigots and anti-Semites are more equal than others.
