As far as the Devil’s Night in Detroit…that’s scary and unacceptable…can’t understand why they are trying to hide the reality by calling it Angel’s night when that sort of destruction and bad behavior is going on. There is no excuse for the behavior and it should not be watered down in the media. People need to know what’s going on and find ways to deter it…hopefully there won’t be as many this year as you stated.

As for the vampire costume, I agree that the costumes pictures around Miss Cyrus’ costume look like Dominatrix costumes, but hers looks like…a vampire. Not something I’d dress MY child in, but not as bad as suggested. As for the pool party and the Paris Hilton pose in the photos, again, not for MY daughter. I’m pretty sure the girls don’t realize how slutty they look – they just think they look grown up. I wish young girls would have more wholesome role models – but apparently that doesn’t SELL these days. And I know a whole lot of mothers who are complicit in the sluttification of young girls. I was at the mall a couple of years ago and noticed a large gathering of women outside a store. I thought maybe there was a great sale going on, but when I went over and looked, it was a store where they staged “fashion shows” for young girls. The girls were dressed in very slutty clothes, heavy makeup, and were encouraged to “vamp” on the runway. And here were all these mothers standing around cheering and applauding this behavior. Apparently this was quite a venue for little girls’ birthday parties for a while.

OK parents, WAKE UP, GROW UP and let your daughters be innocent little girls for as long as they can. It doesn’t last long, but when it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
