Isn’t Johnson’s comment just a week or two after Bob Griese made a comment that he PROFUSELY appologized for about hispanics?? I must have missed Johnson’s call in to ESPN.

Donald Sterling is getting a bad rap on this one. He had to settle just for the legal costs. He is a victim of extortion in the housing case. The place is Koreatown (as in signs, newspapers, cable TV, churches, etc. in Korean) where 100s or 1000s of Koreans (many who are very old and do not speak English) want a safe and familiar place to live. All the East coast cities have some very ethnically segregated neighborhoods.- There are some benefits to these living arrangements. This is simply capitalism. There are nice places for Africans and Mexicans to live already – this is a case where a Korean Community exists on a small few blocks and should be allowed to exist that way.

I wish Sterling would have tried to win this case and set a precedent but even he can not afford the legal bills and no public action groups will admit that this is a benificial situation.

No, Debbie it isn’t close. My larger point is the persecution of people because of who they are is wrong. It doesn’t matter whether your beliefs are that of a Jew or a conservative. Its wrong to exclude people from pursuing a legal occupation in this country because their beliefs aren’t popular. I’m not trying to downplay or dismiss anti-Semitism. The point I’m making is bigotry and intolerance have no place in a free society and we are still cursed with that today.

Debbie Gus Johnson is also a play-by-play man for the struggling NY Knicks…AND IS THE WORST NYC SPORTS BROADCASTER EVER! You think John “THEEEEEEEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!” Sterling is something (and I am a fan of the 27-Time champion pinstripes!), you ain’t heard Johnson call a Knicks game and frankly YOU DON’T WANT TO! That’s why I am a Celtics fan. Their radio broadcast team Sean Grande and Cedric “Quack Quack/Cornbread” Maxwell are funny as hell. Those two should take their act on the road. Then I realize THEY DO!

By the way, I listen to the Celtics radio games on SIRIUS Satellite and laugh when “Grande and Max” come on. Those guys have fun.

I’m working last night with a black coworker and he keeps making remarks about Matsui every time he comes to the plate. Over and over. He happens to be the same guy I had lively discussion about race with the previous day. We like and respect each other but there’s certainly a double standard. Remember Shaq being reported as taunting Yao Ming in his first year in the league. He continuously was making noises that were supposed to be Chinese speech but clearly wasn’t. Yung yow chu chow ching, etc. He later apologized but hey, he did it. No boycott or fines or anything, just keep putting the ball in the f’ing hoop, cha ching.
