Everyday theres another such story of totally unnecessary pandering to a particular group. This wouldn’t happen for any other race of people. Whats next apologising to illeagle aliens for checking their ID at the border. How are we consevatives going to turn the tide in this country when leaders from all levels of government are betraying their own oath to protect and serve. The decision to bring the detainees to trial in civilian court is a prime example of how our country has gone from bad under Bush to much worse under Obama.

Republican Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona said that bringing Mohammed to New York is an “unnecessary risk” that could also lead to the disclosure of classified information. He said the trial of Omar Abdel Rahman — the man known as the “blind sheik” — in a plot against New York City landmarks caused “valuable information” to be revealed to al-Qaida.

Democratic Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia, who serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, supports the use of military tribunals in terrorism cases as I do. Bringing Mohammed and the other detainees to New York for trial is “disruptive, costly, and potentially counterproductive,” Webb said Friday.

It says, for example, “…Canada’s openness and generosity do not extend to barbaric cultural practices that tolerate spousal abuse, ‘honour killings,’…or other gender-based violence.” It’s a beginning, at least.
