The morons in Pontiac could have sold the Silverdome to H Wallace Parker for 22 million, but instead they actioned it off for a song to a Canadian!
The Phoenix Center, poorly designed in that it was not given an ample elevator that would facilitate concerts from top artists, and they spent millions on brick beatiful brick paving, and plantings that could have been better used in their downtown.
Pontiac is unfortunately populated by a large number of what we politely call reverse-racists who blame everything that is wrong with “Baby Detroit” an aprapo anology for this Cinderella City that never found its prince. The similasrity extists in its schools where a white mentally handicapped child was attacked on a bus, and a veteran teacher was beaten.Not to mention the glass ceilings for whites and hispanics alike in its administration. This was also the opinion of Irma Pontiac’s now retired union leader (African-American).
When I resided there I tried to help, anti-semetic slurs were hurled at Fred Leeb the EMT at one meeting and when I as the only other Jewish person there objected I was told to sit down(google Pontiac Ron Wolf). Corruption and a racist unsafe school system is why Pontiac is in its pitiful state.
I couldn’t believe the way they treated H.Wallace Parker who works probono for the NAACP. My acronym for the city is Poor,Obstinate,Negative,Truculent,Isolated,Arrogant, Crab syndrome (bucket crabs where if one trys to climb out the others pull it down).

Ann, brother “O” isn’t black, I am. Brother “O” is bi-racial. Would that make him Halfrican-american? Sorry, I couldn’t resist. I am black and an American, not African-american. Does that make me racist … a term you have called everyone here who doesn’t worship the half-brother. You voted for him because you beleived his vicarious crap about Hope and Change, things he never defined, but knew that you would. Oh, has he paid your mortgage yet, or filled you gas tank? No he has not, but he has help guarantee that untold millions no longer have that mortgage.

Ann, I’m sorry to inform you of this fact, but brother “O” has yet to do a single thing that will ever actually benefit America. He is the product of his environment, and that environment has always been anti-American and anti-capitalist. His friends and inner circle has yet to include anyone who has shown any indication of not being racist, progressive, anti-American, anti-capitalist or qualified for high government service.

I’m hoping for change. Change and Hope are coming to your neighborhood and mine this November. Oh, and Ann, unlike your savior-in-waiting, brother “O”, I have never used drugs or narcotics, and I have a life.

Joel Miller, you rock. You’re pretty well the only voice of reason on here! I note the reference to our President as a “bi-racial beatnik”. This is our commander in chief, folks, like it or not. His race has nothing to do with this, and you need to show some respect for his office, and this country. I’m enjoying all the stupidity (starting with Schlussel — if he’d been welcoming to his half-brother, she’d have been on him for taking time away from his duties to cater to all his family hangers-on, I guarantee it!) and am waitng for some genius to say that the President is an ACTUAL alien.
