You seem like a very biased woman who is out against Islam. Your article does not seem as if you are against the mosque, but rather,

against the whole entire faith itself. By making rude remarks about someone else’s religion Ms. Schlussel,
how do you ever expect for someone to respect you?

The mosque idea is not that good because of location, NOT religion.
Get your facts and head straight please.

I came upon this site, whilst looking for Mosques and parking problems. Here in England the British have totally capitulated to Islam. 1200 signatures were collected against the Mosque. The council used all the tacticks known. The petition is invalid. We have lost petition, etc. After all the wranglings the Muslims got thier Mosque built. A once quaint British Village now resembles an Islamic district, and annoyingly the British with thier “Dunkirk spirit”, were turncoats they ran off and left it to the Hindus and Sikh to fight. Needless to say the Council had a vested intrest to succumb to the block Islamic vote. The Mosque which now stands and dominates the area, has violated 56 stautes yet a blind eye is turned. Law enforcment individuals turn a blind eye to parking and noise violations. Why? In the intrest of “community cohesiion”. This basically means do not upset those who shout the loudest and employ violence. America take a note. Do not take the British stance, run, run, run, till we get to Austrailia. Their own country has been overtaken, to where the minority, now overtake the majority. The concept of multiculturalism is a total farce. There are pockets of English and all the major inner cities are now over run with mainly Muslim populus. Did 7/7 not wake the british up? The British will moan and groan yet do jack! Now look at them. Servants in thier own homes. Take note. The Muslims, see you as infidels and see you as expendible.

First let me state that this “Mosque” directly affects my family, as I live right behind it. This has NOTHING to do with Religion. This is about a 42 car parking lot being put in the front yard of a 4600 sq ft. home. The house is on 2.5 acres and set back quite away from the road. The front yard is open, just trees on the side. We (the neighbors) don’t want to look at it(the parking lot). They (Meadowbrooke Islamic Center)are asking for variances on 1) the back of the house to the back property line. It is supposed to be 50 ft, the house currently sits at 48′ 4″. 2) The west property line to the edge of the parking lot. I believe it’s supposed to be 100ft, and they want it 50ft. Also, this property is NOT in the middle of a subdivision, it’s on a main road on the outside of the sub. In the November meeting the Twp. asked them to reduce the lot from 42 cars to 34 cars and submit a new plan. They did that and the meeting was last night. We asked the “lawyer” representing the MIC, if these are not granted, what is plan B? To which his answer was “There is no plan B”. But only 5 minutes later did he start talking about leveling a perfectly good home to build a new building right on the road and parking in the back. You might think 2.5 acres is a lot, but this lot is an odd shape, think of 2 rectangles, one main big one and a second that is about 40ft wide by 300 ft long. The smaller of the two is in the back of the property and they cannot use. So at the end of the night, the TWP decided that this property was not right for this type of use, in fact they are worried about “over use”. They decided NOT to grant the variances. Which means No parking lot. I’m just afraid that they are now going to pursue leveling the home. Which I will be at that meeting also. I forgot to mention, they purchased this property for less then 1/3 of the previous owner, due to forecloser. So I don’t see why they can’t sell it for a profit, and use that money to buy land a couple miles down the road and build what they want.

This is ridiculous. I have been a devout Christian for years, and I have been very tolerant of other cultures and faiths. I believe strongly in my first amendment rights. Freedom of Religion is a first amendment right! How often do people like you complain about church bells ringing in an area? If it’s the church, it’s okay? The church bell rings in my neighborhood all the time. The Muslims in my neighborhood never complain! They even sent me and my husband a Christmas gift, and helped us in our time of need. Miserable racists like you should curl into a ball. It’s people like you who give this nation a bad name. Where did your tolerance go, up your ass? Suck it up. As a citizen of this nation you signed a social contract meaning that you need to give up some of your rights for the protection of your natural rights. If freedom of religion is to be protected and thrive in this nation, it shouldn’t be intolerant idiots like you who decide just who is allowed to have it, and who isn’t. Go back to your country. It is obviously isn’t in the United States if you don’t believe in the democratic system.

You get a little Quran recitation! Big deal! suck it up. At least it’s not blaring music or a car alarm. Maybe a little culture would be good for your arrogant self. AND WHO ARE YOU TO DECIDE WHICH RELIGION IS WRONG, AND WHICH IS RIGHT? Get a life, go get some faith. I’m not wasting any more of my energy on a pathetic bastard like you.
