This does not sound like it could be coming from Jews, Christians, or Muslims as the words Ms. Schlussel and the words of most people that are commenting on her opinion, sound so hateful. Could we all agree that there may be some truth to be found by listening to each other? Ms. Redigan and Ms. Ritter have a story to tell and they don’t sound hateful.

There are some people of every nationality or religion that attempt to make change with violence (in word or deed). It is a mistake to generalize and feel that all react in the same way. And needed change must take place! Could it be that we can learn from trying to understand each other?

Respectful dialogue between Hamas and Israel would be good. There has certainly been violence on both sides; however, Hamas has no planes, tanks, or funding for high-tech military weapons. Israel’s use of these weapons with seemingly little concern for innocent people including many women and children is wrong. And there is no condoning violence on either side.

Respectful dialog is needed. Perhaps we need to start, each one of us. Debbie, is that a possibility for you?

When describing Ritter, maybe you should place the word “Christian” in quotation marks. No true Christian would support Hamas. Or maybe you can refer to her and the other leftist western “Christians” as “apostate Christians.”
