SCARY: Illegal Aliens Have Govt. Plates!

Received this frightening e-mail, which speaks for itself. America continues to be under attack. (GSA is General Service Administration.)

Dear GSA Fleet Customer,
We recently were advised of criminal activity involving US Government license plates. The incident involved GSA plates, but may apply to your agency owned vehicles as well.

Schlussel: Drivers With These May Be Illegal Aliens

(Photos from WorldLicensePlates.com)

We received a call from Immigration and Customs Service stating they had two of our GSA plates in their custody. It turns out they got the plates from an illegal immigrant smuggler’s vehicle trunk. When questioned, the suspect said immigrant and drug smugglers regularly “borrow” Gov’t. plates from parked vehicles, use them to do their business, then return them to the Gov’t. vehicles within one or two days (before they are noticed missing by the using agency).
It is not only an issue with smugglers, but also a potential national security threat when Gov’t. plates are used for criminal purposes. Therefore, we are asking you again to regularly check your GSA vehicles to ensure both plates are there, and if possible keep vehicles in a secured area. If one or both plates are missing, contact your GSA Fleet Management Center right away and report the loss.
Your diligence in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Some advice: If you’re stopped by someone with Govt. plates, ask to see ID and a badge.

Astounding. It shouldnít be that difficult to grasp just how truly frightening and serious the illegal immigration problem really is, or the drug smuggling problem either. In fact it’s deadly serious. What happens when terrorists get the idea to ìborrowî government license plates and use them to get within striking distance of their target? And it’s amazing how trivial this type of news story is taken by so many Americans. After reading this post, I mentioned it to a couple of my co-workers just to get their reaction, and they both just said; “Huh.” No further reaction from them. Simply amazing.
Thanks again Debbie for your diligence.

Un-f***ing-believable! I am speechless. does the govt have such a surplus of a fleet that they do not notice these plates gone? what kind of security is there that this people can get their hands on the plates?

Government plates should be welded onto the vehiocles so they can’t easily be removed. And, if they are, it’d be pretty obvious seeing Juan with a welding torch trying to re-weld the “borrowed” plates back onto government vehicles.

I haven’t bought any GSA cars at a GSA auction
in several years, but when I did, there was often a GSA employee at the auction site(the auction site was a commercial auction house)
checking to be sure that GSA plates had been removed. In several instances, I recall seeing the employee remove plates. Remember the cars had been sitting at the auction site for some period of time. The sites had security, but they certainly weren’t there to make sure no GSA plates were stolen.
