I’ve written about some of the other notable anniversaries that have been, unfortunately, neglected and forgotten. Today, for example, is the 7th anniversary of Al-Qaeda’s bombing of the two U.S. embassies in East Africa–in Tanzania and Kenya.
Sadly, absolutely NO mention of this on any of the Sunday Morning political shows–including FOX News’ “Fox News Sunday.” Hate to repeat the trite and obvious, but Santayana is proved right again. (“He who forgets his history is doomed to repeat it.”) We fell asleep after the ’93 Qaeda attack on the World Trade Center. We fell asleep after the Qaeda embassy attacks until Qaeda’s 9/11 attacks. We fell asleep after 9/11 until . . . .
