I have to confess some long-standing affection for the Hitman games; for a game rooted in killing people, it rewards the player for thinking strategically and keeping the violence to a minimum. It’s pretty unique in that way and even seems to have a heightened appreciation for moral consequences.

I saw the movie ‘Redacted’ and I have to say it’s a good movie, not a great one, just good. The biggest problem I have with it is that it drags in some parts. As for all the commotion of how it denigrates the troops, that’s all bullsh*t. In the movie, only two soldiers are involved in the actual crime of raping and killing a 15 yr. old girl and killing her family. And a third soldier struggles with reporting the crime. The rape scene is not explicit at all like in A Clockwork Orange. The girl is wearing a long white shirt and hardly anything is shown. ‘Redacted’ is an anti-war film, but it is NOT an anti-troop film.
I think Michael Meathead calls this the worst movie ever. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It may be a bit boring a times, but in no way is it the worst movie ever. I’m with Roger Ebert and give it a thumb up.

I saw a billboard for The Hitman yesterday outside my son’s school – on the corner where the kids are routinely robbed by neighborhood thugs. Here’s steroetype #13 for you. Put up a billboard featuring a criminal occupation and illustrated by exgerated images of weapons o the border of a black ghetto, becuase EVERYBODY there wants to be a criminal, don’t you know.

The only movie I recognized on that list was hitman. Debbie this is based on the hit videogame, and game-to-flim movies still have a terrible record…but I’ll give this flim the benifit of the doubt.
As for the stereotype flicks…well debbie don’t you get it, the only reason they are made that way so it’s to let every brainwashed black think that our race is superior and we are deserved the most. It also tells them that ether we follow every stereotype, or else we’re somehow not black.
