Thorp. He wrote a book called Beat the Dealer which is a mathematical system called the theory of large numbers. The History channel did a couple documentaries about this. Anyway, since the sixties Edward O. Thorp made millions with his own hedge fund. Finally based on this theory at leaset 2 MIT teams were created the second with more sucess.
