Oh and the last olympics had basketball men’s players look like a bunch of hoodlums from America with tattoos and gang type look. I was embarrassed to even watch to see these hoodlums say they were playing from America. Disgusting.

Olympics suck. Their coverage sucks. The stuff I’m interested in is never showcased at the right time or moment. And to top it all off, c’mon, they award it to China? LMAO It’s hilarious.
Half the time I don’t believe who wins did it without some type of drug. I find sports more and more disgusting if it seems along the award or professional line any more. Everyone is into I hate America mode but they say nothing about how awarding the olympics to the chinese to hold when there are so many human rights violations? I scoff at them!

The Hammon story is reminiscent of how Gulf Arab countries "buy" East African distance runners, many of them Christians. The deal is that they must adopt Muslim Arab names, although I'm not sure if they must also convert, er, revert to Islam. OK, that’s her choice to become a Russian citizen. Hopefully the taxpayers will not be paying for her to get Social Security when she is older, Medicare, or any other entitlement benefits. No education grants or loans. Let the rathole countries that dominate the Olympics pay for those things. These countries that dominate the Olympics can’t even run their own countries, but they love telling the US what to do.

Debbie, I believe you have it backwards. Originally, the olympics [greek days] were for professional athletes – who lived to compete for their “masters”, or benefactors. It wasn’t until Victorian England when this fabricated “amateur” ideal was invented. Check it out. You’ll see quickly that allowing pros [b-ball, hockey, etc.] is true to the original Olympics, not the Victorian baggage style Olympic Ideal we cling to for some reason which is beyond me.

I love it when people who really don’t like sports try to tell me how much they love the Olympics, sort of the same people who “appreciate” hockey and soccer. zzzzzzzzz
Hey, who knew there was a good looking chick in the WNBA? I bet she gets a bunch of foul shots with the other “guys” in the WNBA grabbing her when she’s playing, not to mention the huge crowd hanging around her in the shower room.

I’m not sure, but doesn’t the United States prohibit dual citizenship with Russia? I met some Russians who forfeited their Russian citizenship after becoming US citizens. Or maybe you won’t have to forfeit your US citizenship if you were born in the US.
In any case, she should have had her US citizenship stripped upon accepting the Russian citizenship, especially since she sold out herself for a few lousy bucks… and to the arch enemy! You can’t serve two masters.
This traitoress can go to hell… The games are a farce and so are all involved.
