This really bugs me Debbie. It’s just as stupid as the one Jewish reporter for, I forgot, when she interviewed Brigitte Gabriel and introduced her as an Islamophobe. Or George Soros who supports all kinds of unethical agendas like same sex and abortion and has no problem with a Palestinian state alongside Israel. I couldn’t stand him and I didn’t even no that he was Jewish till Tovia Singer mentioned it on his radio show. No different with the left leaning crowd of Peace Now. As a Gentile both, Jew and non Jew drive me nuts with that kind of nonsense. But I don’t know if I would be Jewish. What would enrage me more. As a Jew I wouldn’t expect anything from the world. It has always dispised and persecuted the Jew. But just like in the days of the Underground when boys literally gave their lives for the love of the people and the land of Israel and many of their own were only too ready to report them to the British only to have them interrogated, tortured and killed. My heart broke when I saw families being thrown out of their homes in Gaza and when skulls gut smashed at Amona. I sat in utter disbelieve at my computer watching the scenes over and over again. This I would expect to have happened in Nazi Germany or during any of the progroms no matter where in the world. And I could even understand, no matter how morally wrong that some Jews cooperated with the Nazis only to save their own lives. There was a funny anecdote in Ezra Yakhin’s book Elnakam. When Ezra was member of the Underground like Stern, Lehi and others, one day a kid who knew him told him that he will eventually end up with a bullet in his belly and he would deserve it. When Ezra met the same person years later he reminded him of that statement only to find out that in the war of indipendence that kid caught a bullet from an Arab in his belly.

I kind of feel sorry for him-it must feel horrible to have your son die like that, and I think he just wants some meaning to come out of. I do not know whether he is right or wrong, but I can get why he does it.

I’m so glad you put this up. Every word is true: these liberal kumbayah types play the fiddle while they march us in the gas-chambers and in the ovens. I saw this puff-piece and I rejected it out of hand. You ripped it to shreds, good on you, Debbie!
That Pearlie-boy was an appeaser of the worst kind, and his father needs a shoe in the ass for assisting Muhammedan appeasement propaganda.
But wasn’t that the same (or worse) in the case of Nick Berg?

Just wish to say thanks for your wonderful site.
I hope America wakes up soon or we will be in the same mess as the UK, the Netherlands, France and all the other western societies, that are being overrun by these barbarians. Using our own laws and freedoms against us, because of some sort of false offended pride. I get offended that that their offended by my freedoms. We created the United States to get away from religious tyranny, and a lack of freedoms, and the powers that be are giving it back, either by design or by sheer stupidity.
If they don’t slam the immigration doors shut, on these people, there will be a whole lot of bloodshed.
It will be just like Nazi Germany all over again. And it will occur in one western society after another, driving that religion either out of existence or back to the hellish place it came from.

That’s what we have Debbie for – to do the homework the MSM won’t. I admit I knew nothing about Judea Pearl until Debbie posted this this background info. If you’re looking for that kind of stuff from him or from the MSM – don’t. You won’t get real journalism – its a dying industry. Its up to bloggers to get the facts out that the liberal media don’t want people to know.

I read`the WSJ online article on this but it seems they neglected to mention some of the things that you brought out. Yes, his death was tragic but no more so than any other lost to this cult of evil, death and destruction. Thanks for bringing this up.

You make a powerful argument. I really didn’t know about Daniel Pearl’s father’s speaking engagements nor Daniel Pearl’s investigative work.
Perhaps the grief of losing a child forces a parent search for answers. Certainly, your outlook as an outsider is blatantly correct, but I’m not sure I would expect Judea Pearl to be big advocate on the “War on Terror” (no longer an administration strategy).
OTOH, deaths incurred on the loved ones of famous terrorists only harden the parent further.
In the end I agree with you, and I agreed with Bush, Middle Eastern terrorism must be confronted, not “understood”.
