Listen to My Appearance on XM’s “Brett Winterble Show”

By Debbie Schlussel

Check out my latest appearance on XM’s “Brett Winterble Show,” which we recorded yesterday. (It’s the podcast on the left side of the page.) We discussed my review of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “The Dictator” and some other issues, including Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin’s renunciation of his U.S. citizenship to avoid capital gains taxes (and Chuck Schumer’s and Bob Casey’s EX-PATRIOT Act legislation in response). My appearance begins at about 22 minutes in.

Just listened to the thing, and I liked your take on Eduardo Saverin as well. Speaking of this, there is already an Exit Tax that Saverin would have to pay on the stock he owns, regardless of whether he sells it or not (it’s like what one has to pay for exercising, but not selling, stock options).

So essentially, Schumer was calling for establishing something that already exists
