I was stationed with Abujihaad on the USS benfold from 99-01 and when i read this on the internet the other day not only was i shocked as hell, but i felt really betrayed because i would have never imagined that he would be willing to put all of our lives in danger like he did!! It really pisses me off to read some of the e-mails that he sent to terrorists organizations!! And the other guy they arrested use to come to our ship all the time, so they could “go pray” at the mosque, now that i think about it..they probably were plotting some cowardly acts then. For him to praise the bombing of the USS Cole knowing that 17 shipmates were killed for no reason at all..is just disgusting to me and i hope he rots in prison, because that is not cool.

Not to quibble Debbie but he was an American Sailor(Navy) and not Soldier(Army).

Hassan Abujihaad deserves to be executed, but remember that he’s an ex-sailor whose crime was to have been committed in 2001! This means that the Muslims serving in the military right now are patriots. Out of the 3000+ dead US military personnel, does anyone here know if any of them were Muslims? If so, shouldn’t their stories be told too?

I read one news piece that said that the max he can get is 20 years. That doesn’t sound to me like they are charging him with Treason.
I hope the report was wrong. If this isn’t treason, then I really don’t understand the word.

I agree with Burt, but for a slightly different reason. I wouldn’t be surprised if there have been at least ten traitors who have been caught that were to be shot. The lawyers on both sides strike a deal. There it is. I believe that the plea bargain has reached even treason. What a sad state we’re in. It would send such a powerful message to all traitors and seditionists if we just stood this mook up against a wall and shot him for treason.

Bush isn’t and hasn’t tried to do anything about it because to him THERE IS NO PROBLEM to be dealt with.
He has not even IDENTIFIED it in his brain as a problem or I hope there would be some action on his part to solve it. THAT IS THE REAL PROBLEM WE ARE DEALING WITH!!!!
