I attended “We Ignore Malado Presidents University”(WIMP-U) and, after analysis, found that the President’s speech was full of historical flaws. He gave the Muzzies so much credit for their inventiveness but the fact of the matter was that most of the inventions were not made by Muslims but Persians(prior to Islam or they were developed by Europeans like Galileo(inventor of the telescope). And while he mentioned the first country to recognize his country, Morocco, with the signing of Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, he failed to mention the events that led up to that treaty, that being , the muslim jihadists piracy of US ships off of N. Africa.
He also mentioned that the muslims fought in our wars but fgailed to mention Hitler’s Muslim SS Brigade, the Waffen-SS im Einsatz during WWII which under which tens of thousands of muslims killed hundreds of thousands of Jews in the Soviet Union. And let’s not forget the 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Handschar (1st Croatian), the mountain hunters. “The Muslims” remarked one German General, “bear the special status of being persecuted by all others”. Himmler observed a fanatical, blind obedience in the Bosniaks. He thought that Muslim men would make perfect SS soldiers, as Islam “promises them Heaven if they fight and are killed in action.”
He said, “They have fought in our wars, they have served in our government, they have stood for civil rights, they have started businesses, they have taught at our universities, they’ve excelled in our sports arenas, they’ve won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers ó Thomas Jefferson ó kept in his personal library”. But all of these accomplishments were either funneling money to Hamas or Hezbollah. And that tallest building was brought down by their own ilk. And Thomas Jefferson only kept a copy of the Koran so he would better understand the enemy that was pirating his ships of commerce.
I could go on but I do not wish to occupy the space of other WIMP-U commenters.

Are you serious? The name on the COLB is Barack Hussein Obama. There was no legal change from Soetero to Obama. And the COLB is the legal document that is available on Fight the Smears, the Daily Kos and the republican-run Factcheck.org.
This really isn’t that difficult to comprehend.
There. It’s been explained to you. But I’m sure you’ll return soon with the same nonsense that the President is not a natural born citizen and that he posted forgeries, with nothing to back it up. The truth means nothing to you. Spreading lies and misinformation fueled by bigotry is what you’re all about.

Believe it or not, Greg, it’s possible to unfold a document, scan it as flat, and the folds will be undetectable to the naked eye in the jpeg image. That’s what we have here. This site, though, explains further:

The flat scan was already available at Daily Kos and Fight the Smears. To placate the kooks, Factcheck took several photos of the COLB at several angles.
Greg, no reasonable soul can conclude — after reading the Factcheck analysis, the Neil Krawert piece that I cited for you, and the piece cited above — that the COLB is a forgery. If you still do, you’re simply being obtuse.

Debbie, I meant only what I wrote, that there were a handful of good lines in the speech. Overall, after reading the entire speech today I think it was poor and purposefully misleading in places, and used moral equivalence in others.
A few hundred good words in a 6000 word speech earns a grade of less than 10%.

Middleman there is nothing on the site you posted that explaoins how a document woth deap creases can also appear without any creases.
I don’t know who Polarik is. You were discussing him with someone else, not me. What I first noticed about all this business is the same thing I noticed with yours. On Obama’s site there were no creases in the COLB. On Daily KOS there were. Also, the COLB on Oabam’s site was miussing the seal clearly visible on KOS. One of the COLBs may have been genuine, but they could not all be.
Please explain why, if you’re going to present pics of a document as evidence, you show the document at angles to the camera, with arm shadows across the pages, etc.? A simple flat scan with enlargements is what you would do. And there is still no way the creases that cause the COLB to be folded in most of the pics, magically disappear when it is held flat.

Bush administration took, and as a matter of fact nothing that went beyond the “roadmap” that Dennis Ross created for the George H. W. Bush administration nearly 20 years ago, and has been the official policy of the United States government under both parties ever since. As a matter of fact, Dennis Ross worked with Paul Wolfowitz in the Pentagon in the CARTER administration, was on the National Security Council during the Reagan administration, served as Middle East envoy during the Clinton administration, and is now a special advisor to the state department for the middle east under the Obama administration.
I think that this “Republicans protect and defend Israel/Democrats sell Israel out” dualism that is being promoted by both sides is simply untrue, and does a lot of people real harm. If both parties have been following the Dennis Ross plan since at least the 1980s, and Ross (and the career diplomats and public policy analysts that he has trained) have been so adept and working through both parties, it seems that both parties are pushing the same agenda with Republicans playing “good cop” and Democrats playing “bad cop.”
It is also curious that some of the most favorable quotes regarding Islam – that it is “a religion of peace” and that “Muslims and Christians worship the same God” – came from George W. Bush while Barack Obama was still in the Illinois state legislature. Supporters of Israel need to be honest and face facts: neither Republicans or Democrats, neoconservatives or neoliberals, are seeking Israel’s best interests.
Yet figuring out Israel’s best interests is a tough one. Palestinian statehood endangers Israel’s security, but transferring the Palestinian population someplace else – whether Jordan or some other Zionist fantasy – isn’t going to happen: no one wants them, and no one can legally be required to take them. While the partisan hyperbole is a lot of fun, it does not help Israel. What helps Israel is A) acknowledging that both Republicans and Democrats have been promoting a Palestinian state publicly for nearly 20 years and behind the scenes for even longer and B) while the Palestinian state cannot happen, driving the Palestinians out of Gaza and the West bank into Jordan, the Sinai peninsula, or wherever simply isn’t going to happen.
The Jerusalem Post spoke of a panel discussion on “alternatives to the two state solution” held in Israel last week by conservative Zionists, and based on their reporting it appears that only a couple of the participants were willing to face reality, preferring to live in fantasy land.
