Chuck Hagel’s Anti-Israel Speeches – I Told You About It First; Jennifer Rubin’s Double Standard on Israel-Hatred; UPDATE: Rand Paul Puts on Hold
**** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE: Apparently (and surprisingly) Rand Paul acquired some guts on this. See below. ****
I’m having a good laugh at the pretentious Drudge Report and so-called conservative websites who think they have some kind of scoop because they recently demanded videos of anti-Israel, anti-Semitic Obama Defense Secretary nominee Chuck Hagel’s speeches to the Arab American Institute (AAI, where he went on behalf of John McCain) and the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC). Those who think they have some sort of meaningful scoop on this old news, include Breitfraud whose moronic editor Joel Pollak is in love with anti-Israel Nelson Mandela and claims pro-Palestinian Mandela “loves Israel” because the mother of Pollak’s quickie convert South African wife worked for Jew-hating Mandela, so he won’t tell the truth; the Washington Free Beacon’s idiotette Alana Goodman, who told us for the last two years–while she worked at Commentary–that we should all gush over the Egyptian democracy bullcrap and praise Obama for helping depose Mubarak; and the pan-Muslim Republican Jewish Coalition’s paid whore, Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post. In fact, I went undercover to some of those events and heard Chuck Hagel speak in person. As I noted on this site, months ago, Hagel did, in fact, attack Israel and “the Jewish lobby” at the Arab American Institute events (he spoke at several in the Detroit area). I know because I was there (at least for some of his speeches). But it’s not news, though Politico’s whitewash of it is inaccurate, since Politico only viewed one video of one such speech to Arab groups. Hagel made several such speeches. Flashback from my December 14, 2012 column:
Chuck Hagel Hates Israel & Jews, Loves Islam & Islamic Terrorism Supporters; But Testes-Challenged GOP Won’t Filibuster
Over the years, I’ve watched Hagel become a favored figure on the Arab Muslim lecture circuit. I’ve seen him speak at many organizations that openly support Hezbollah and HAMAS. And I’ve seen him viciously attack Israel to those Arab groups in a way only a Jew-hater can. . . . As you know, John McCain ran for President several times. When he ran against then-Governor George W. Bush in 2000, I gave McCain kudos for refusing to appear at the pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS Arab American Institute’s (AAI) political conference in Dearbornistan (both George W. Bush and Al Gore sent slobbering Islamo-panderers to the confab). But his good friend, Senator Hagel, was a proud participant at the conference. The things he said about Jewish political power and Israel were the kind of things you’d hear at a Klan rally . . . or a mosque. And later on, as McCain was gearing to run for President again, he sent Hagel to the AAI event as his representative.
Also, not news is that Hagel is anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, and the like. The video won’t have any new stuff that’s different from what’s already been said, and wimpy Republican Senators with loud barks and zero bite (like Lindsey Graham who promised to block the Hagel nomination over Benghazi on Sunday, but did no such thing) don’t care. I mean, when Hagel “corrected” himself at his clumsy Senate confirmation hearing, saying he misspoke about attacking “the Jewish lobby” (something I noted, months ago, that he’d said at speeches I attended) and that he really meant “the pro-Israel lobby,” did you hear a single Senator object to his silly “correction”? I didn’t. In fact, what he was saying was the same euphemistic double-speak anti-Semites in the neo-Nazi and Islamic crowds always use. They say, “the evil Zionists,” instead of “the dirty Jews.” Same difference. We know what they mean.
No one will find any new stuff in the Hagel tape, because it’s old news that he’s a Jew-hater and an enemy of Israel, and yet Republicans still don’t have even the tiniest amount of testicles to block his nomination, even to date. John McCain was only “upset” over whether or not Hagel thinks “the surge” worked, when that’s irrelevant, since “the surge” replaced a Sunni bulwark against Iran with Iran-backed Shi’ites put into place with the souls, blood, and limbs of American boys.
So, this whole thing about Arab groups releasing tapes of what Hagel’s already acknowledged and admitted that he said–such admissions of such outrageous bigotry against Jews and Israel not being enough for all but a few brave Senators such as Ted Cruz and Jim Inhofe–is much ado about nothing. What’s in the videos is no different than what’s in his admissions to having said outrageous stuff.
Outrageous stuff that isn’t enough for Senators like John McCain and Susan Collins to do the right thing and engage in a filibuster. It tells me that if they were around in Europe in 1940, they’d choose the easy way and say, “Well, my vote is against this Nazi, but he deserves a vote on the full floor so that all the Nazis can vote him in because it’s ‘the honorable thing to do.'”
Remember, you heard about what’s in Hagel’s speeches to these pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS Arab groups from me months ago. These also-ran rip-off artists now harping on it won’t find anything that’s as outrageous as what Hagel’s already admitted to . . . and what simply doesn’t bother John McCain and others as much as it should.
If Hagel’s nomination is eventually stalled and he does not get confirmed, it won’t be because of any videos. The stuff he already said is clearly anti-Semitic and anti-Israel. And, yet, it wasn’t enough for the Senate clowns on both sides of the aisle to tell Chuck Hagel and Barack Obama to go to hell.
And that’s the saddest story of all of this, no matter the ultimate result.
One other thing: it’s funny how the Washington Post’s phony conservative/Jew In Name Only Jennifer Rubin suddenly feigns disgust with Hagel’s speeches to the ADC, and yet she is a frequent paid speaker for the Republican Jewish Coalition, which hosts anti-Israel Darrell Issa (who called Israel an “apartheid” state and repeatedly praised Hezbollah) and the enablers of Islamic Jihad terrorist-in-chief Sami Al-Arian. She’ll never say a critical word about that or the RJC though because, hey, she got paid. At the same time Hagel was attacking Jews and Israel at the ADC and AAI, by the way, RJC–Jennifer Rubin’s high-paying patron–was endorsing and praising Hagel, too. Not a single peep outta her over that. Ever.
On Detroit’s Eight Mile, they call that pimpin’ and whorin’, Jenny. Cha-ching!
**** UPDATE: Wow, Rand Paul found some courage. His spokeschick Moira Bagley just sent me this, below. Good for him:
Sen. Paul Statement on Hagel and Brennan Nominations
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Senate today voted to invoke cloture on President Obama’s nomination of former Sen. Chuck Hagel to serve as Secretary of Defense. Following that vote, which failed to invoke cloture, Sen. Rand Paul released the following statement regarding both Sen. Hagel’s nomination and that of John Brennan, whom the President has nominated to serve as the director to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
“I tend to believe that the President should be entitled to some leeway on his nominees. That is why I voted in favor of Sen. John Kerry, with whom I largely disagree on foreign policy, to serve as Secretary of State. However, I also believe there are standards in both policy and background that go beyond mere disagreement and go to the suitability of the nominee to perform their job,” Sen. Paul said. “That is why I have placed a hold on the nomination of John Brennan to serve as director of the CIA until he answers the question of whether or not the President can kill American citizens through the drone strike program on U.S. soil.”
“That is also why I voted to not end debate on the Hagel nomination. I do not believe Sen. Hagel has adequately explained his activities and their financing since he left the Senate, and I believe this criteria is especially important when dealing with the revolving door between government and the private sector,” he continued.
