Have to tell you about my brother-in-law and Oprah. Brother-in-law used to work for the gas supplier for home heating in Aspen, Colorado. Oprah took First Prize for being the homeowner from hell. Whenever there was a need to contact the local gas company for help (light the furnace pilot light for instance)the guys at the gas company actually drew straws and the one getting the short stick was the poor unfortunate who had to go see what the “Beast” wanted this time. She was notorious with the living-there-year-round locals in all trades for rude, offensive, condescending, man-hating (especially white males) attitude. I mentioned this to a Chicago born-and-raised man. He couldn’t believe it. His Queen, he said, was probably used to having people jump at her bidding; he thought the locals in Aspen weren’t accustomed to an assertive black woman, that’s all. Those who love her would follow her off a cliff to their own doom. She and her associates are merely low entertainment for the truly ignorant masses of useless people with time on their idle hands.

And also, the new oprah channel will be taking over what is currently Discovery Health Channel, at least in the Great Lakes Region of the US anyway. I couldn’t finish the article. Oprah’s stupidity was making my head spin. This woman has made billions being an unfixable, professional emotional mess, and she goes from group to group trying to buy love: exercise gurus, spiritual leaders, prominent AfAms, real African schoolchildren, Hollywood celebs – and now muslims. Funny we haven’t seen her “reach out” in Spanish — yet.
