Just Joe – I understand your point. I slam both parties whenever they say and do boneheaded things, you see, I am an equal opportunity ball breaker. I consider myself a conservative first, however, the Republicans seem to do the least amount of damage to our country compared to the Democrats.

My point, which I really didn’t make very clear, is that things have gotten to the point where people just assume the other side is lying, always. While I’m sure you distrust both sides, Jarhead– who wouldn’t?– the majority of people don’t. It would seem that dissent is more patriotic when the other guys are in power.

Just Joe – you really need to keep up on the latest news concerning illegal aliens. Odopey has endorsed the legalization of the illegal aliens. Just do a tiny bit of research to find out about this. Even the liberal New York Times has articles on this.

Also, if you really trust the politicians in DC, you need to wake up and open your eyes. They all deceive us, but Obama has taken it to a new level. That’s one thing I have to give him credit for, he lies even better than Slick Willey. Next we will be hearing statements from Odopey saying stuff like “It depends on what your definition of ILLEGAL is.” Or how about ” It depends on what your definition of SOCIALISM is.”

The “You Lie” outburst by Joe Wilson may have been inappropriate for the venue of his speech, but outside of this venue, we should have everyday citizens doing the same thing. After an enraged private citizen does this, however, you will probably see the SEIU, ACORN and New Black Panther thugs escort this person outside where he will be beaten severely, possibly lynched, called a racist and have 24/7/365 surveillance by both the government and private organizations.

That speach was well crafted and suburbly delivered. But in the end they are just words.

Sarah – Obama wants to grant amnesty to all the “undocumented aliens”. Once that happens they’ll no longer be “undocumented” and therefore will be “legal” and entitled to coverage. That would be his logical next step, which is why ANYTHING he tries to pass has to be stopped.

It doesn’t matter if Obama technically lied or not. We know his intentions now. He can no longer get by on semantics and word play.

And Debbie, this clip of Graham was very noticeable during the speech, i’m glad you posted it.

And yet, when they try to add VERIFICATION of citizenship to the bill, the Democrats nix it. So what you have is a pointless passage with no teeth. To quote another blog:

“Yes, we did throw bananas in the gorilla cage. But I have stated in writing that no gorillas are to eat bananas. Should they eat those bananas on the ground within their easy reach, that would be against the law, but they shall not be punished in any way for such action, because that would be wrong.”

I didn’t watch it. Truthfully, Obama said nothing to change my mind. People are angry about it and its not for the reasons Obama ascribes to them. He doesn’t want anything short of a state takeover of the health care market. The Left would never accept that government doesn’t have a say over your body. That’s all the reason to oppose it. All the rest is just commentary.
