I read your response, and it did not contain anything other than Anita Hill’s allegations. Also, your veiled affirmative action slam against her was really pretty amazing:”Her race and gender might have helped her to get into Yale and land a good paying job in DC.” It is a racist and sexist remark. Finally, it is unlikely that a Yale Law School graduate would have trouble finding any employment, unless they were academically at the bottom of the barrel.

You knew this was coming Debbie. Two tiered raced based discipline. In Arizona if you are Black/Hispanic/Mexican you will be disciplined differently than White counterparts. More lenient to minorities. The race card victimization never ends.

People seem to be angry at fake hate crimes for good reason. The people doing fake hate crime are trying to manipulate our sympathy. People talked about “reverse discrimination” a lot recently. Then we can’t forget about “reverse hate crimes.” I hope yall still remember Ashley Todd. Although it turned to be a comedy, she could have easily turned on some hot blooded whites if she had done it right.

Sorrow1. The argument you made is the same argument by which the male senators gave Thomas the benefit of the doubt. The senate has tremendous pressure to confirm the the first black supreme court justice unless there is overwhelming proof of wrong doings. As we all know, there was only “He said” and “She said” arguments in the FBI report. The final vote was 52-48. Among the 52 yea votes, many were conservative GOPs who cared more about Thomas’ conservative legal view and democrats who were concerned about political black slash if they voted against him.
But if you put the known facts into perspective, reasonable people can see reasonable cause why Anita Hill was reluctant to come forward at the time the alleged incident occurred.

At the time Anita Hill worked for Clarence Thomas, she was 25-26. Smart as she might be, she essentially was socially inexperienced simple person from a small town of Oklahoma. Her race and gender might have helped her to get into Yale and land a good paying job in DC. But it did not help to build her own confidence.

The year was 1981 when Clarence Thomas allegedly started the sexual overture on her. Thomas not only was her boss, he was one of the few fast rising blacks in the bureaucracy and he always carried himself in a very authoritative way. To an inexperience black young woman coming from a southern rural town, Thomas was a very intimidating figure. However as a lawyer, she also fully realized that there was no chance she could prove in the court that Thomas violated the law. After all she was not raped. The most likely result of her complaint would be that she got transferred to an unknown position and it would be a career ender for her in Washington. She would also greatly disappointed her family and hometown people who regarded her as a prodigy since young age.

Weighing her own future and the expectation from her family, she resisted but decided to stay put. In her own word, she said that she subsequently went to EEOC with Thomas because civil right was the area she was interested in and the sexual harassment from Thomas appeared had stopped. In less than a year, she found a faculty position and left the government.

If there were 50% of female senators, Thomas did not have chance as female could probably relate to the indecisiveness to to lack of self confidence. To those macho male politicians, they could not figure out why women could not fight back or just leave when they were abused.

Have you even thought of being remotely accurate in what you post? Anita Hill and her entourage had more than ample time to make their case, and failed to do so during Senate hearings held at the time. In fact, Ms. Hill was quite happy to follow Mr. Thomas from one position to another during his time in the Reagan Administration, rather than file a civil service or criminal complaint against Mr. Thomas. Mr. Hill was a law school graduate and attorney, and not a lowly clerical.
