Boycott Gary Busey: Washed-up Actor Plays Evil Jew in Turkish Blood Libel Film

By Debbie Schlussel
Thanks Gary Busey! (And Billy Zane, too.)
The whacked out former star of failed, dumb reality show “I’m with Busey” repeats the age-old anti-Semitic blood libel, that Jews steal others’ organs, blood, etc. for some ill purpose–in this case, by playing an evil Jewish doctor. We have a suggestion for all Jewish-American doctors: Since Gary Busey defamed you, refuse him as a patient.

garybusey.jpg

“I’m with Anti-Semites”:

Washed-up Actor Gary Busey Plays Evil Jewish Doctor

In a new Turkish movie, “Kurtlar Vadisi – Irak” (“Valley of the Wolves–Iraq”) U.S. soldiers are portrayed as brutal murderers who “kill dozens of innocent people with random machine gun fire, shoot the groom in the head, and drag those left alive to Abu Ghraib prison – where a Jewish doctor cuts out their organs, which he sells to rich people in New York, London and Tel Aviv,” according to AP. Gary Busey plays the Jewish-American doctor.
Thanks, Gary. And congrats. You’re now an official member of the Anti-Semite club. In the grand tradition of Hitler, the authors of “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, etc., etc., etc. So Hollywood, so “enlightened.”
We’d say, boycott Busey. But he’s not been in much to speak of that anyone has watched (not even anti-White man, “Into the West“). So he whored himself out to anti-Semitism in order to make a buck.
Then, there is actor Billy Zane. Boycott him, too.
He defames American soldiers, portraying one of this nasty movie’s version: evil, brutal, cold-hearted murderers. According to an IMDB.com summary of the “fabulous” anti-American plot of this “film”, his character, Sam W. Marshall,

raids [an] Arabian wedding where everyone from the region comes together. He kills tens of people. All are civilians. Leila, the bride of the wedding, loses her future groom in the killings. Apart from the people who were murdered there, also a lot of people are declared terrorists and arrested.

As noted by reader Tim, we recall only one Muslim Arab wedding deliberately attacked in recent memory, the one in Amman, Jordan. But the attackers were NOT American soldiers. They were fellow Muslim Arabs from Al-Qaeda. Hmmmm . . . where’s the Billy Zane movie about that, Hollywood?
We note that this movie also stars Syrian Muslim actor Ghassan Massoud, who was in the anti-Christian, pro-Islamist fairy tale, “Kingdom of Heaven.”

Interesting that the only Arab Moslem wedding that was attacked, with resulting deaths of the brides father and other members of the wedding party, occured a few months ago in Amman Jordan. Except the attackers were not US troops or Jews, but “devout” Moslem folowers of Al Queda and Abu Musab El Zarkawi. Amazing how the Hollywood and the world media distort reality!

Gary Busey, like Nick Nolte, – can be found in the “washed out, drugged out, alcoholic Hollywood has-beens” file.

Ripper on February 2, 2006 at 2:20 pm

Actually Busey may not ecven be anti Semitic, he is worse – a person with no consicence and a whore for money.

You mean to say he is a CONGRESSMAN? How did that happen? :)

Considering some of the stuff I’ve been writing about Turkey, is this really a surprise. Debbie was probably looking at the stuff I wrote like “Oh this is just typical Romanian paranoia.” But it turns out, I was right. Now they’re making Islamist movies and casting cheap American actors no one cares about. Keep an eye on these guys.
NO. ACTUALLY, FOR YEARS I’VE BEEN WELL AWARE OF THE INCREASING RADICALIZATION OF TURKISH MUSLIMS. IT’S OTHERS WHO CLAIM TURKEY IS A MODERATE MUSLIM NATION THAT I ALWAYS THINK ARE COMPLETELY IGNORANT. I AM NOT SUPRISED AT ALL BY THIS MOVIE. THE SURPRISE IS THAT EVEN FAR-LEFT AMERICA-HATING ACTORS WOULD BE DUMB ENOUGH TO TAKE A ROLE IN SUCH A MOVIE. NOT EXACTLY A SMART ACTING CAREER MOVE, WHEN AMERICAN BOX OFFICE IS STILL THE BIGGEST SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR MOST OF THESE CELLULOID SIMPS.

Did Busey & Zane actually think they would get away with this without anyone even noticing? What a couple of schmucks! I agree with Deb… All Jewish Doctors here in the USA refuse him as a patient!

Yiddish Steel on February 2, 2006 at 3:28 pm

Like any jewish Dr. here would give up a chance to have an actor as a customer, heck and miss out on the actor coming to the Dr’s.child Bar-Bat mitzvah?Dream on.

danny on February 2, 2006 at 4:02 pm

Well come on.
Is the doctor stealing organs and harvesting BECAUSE he’s a Jew? Or is it that the person in the movie is a doctor who harvests organs and is Jewish?
There is a difference, and movies aren’t the same as real life. People know that. Well. Most people?

jjames on February 2, 2006 at 4:28 pm

to jjjames: Don’t play dumb. Iran had a TV movie about an Israeli pime minister, who had a program of kidnapping Arab children to harvest their eyes for research. Hezballah had a program on El Manar about a Jewish Rabbi, who killed children for blood to be used in a Jewish ritual. Did the Rabbi kill the children because he was Jewish or because he was a Rabbi? Egyptian TV also had 2 similar programs about Jews killing children for their rituals. See memri for these programs.

Tim on February 2, 2006 at 4:44 pm

And jjjames; the people who watch this stuff are as f—–g dumb, as you. They actually believe this stuff which leads to terrible acts of violence.

Tim on February 2, 2006 at 4:51 pm

ie they believe Al Queda is controlled by the CIA or the Israelis, that the Jews caused 9/11 and stayed home from work that day, even though a large proportion of the victims were Jewish, that comets are bolts thrown by the deity at jinns (some kind of frolicsome celestial beings) etc. etc. etc.

Tim on February 2, 2006 at 5:06 pm

Okay…let me get this straight—some dude who fell on his head and didn’t have the sense to wear a motorcycle helmet is NOW the BRAINS behind Muslim propaganda flicks???!!!!
NEXT thang you gonna tell me is that GW has created a cold fusion source so that “we” can kick the oil addiction…LMAO!!!
IF you wanna be the female Drudge, post the bikini photos already

EminemsRevenge on February 2, 2006 at 5:35 pm

I’m glad you agree then. Because a lot of so-called conservatives in America have jumped on the “Oh, but Turkey is okay” bandwagon. No, actually they’re just too smart to say it at U.N. meetings but it’s a very anti-Semitic, anti-American, anti-anything-that’s-not-Muslim country in a considerable part of its population. More and more Turks have jumped on THAT bandwagon! Turkey is less fundamentalist, but that’s not the same as less Islamist in a political sense. Then again, that distinction must be made with several Islamic terrorist groups and unfortunately it isn’t in the media. Not everyone who agrees with someone like Bin Laden’s political outlook agrees with his approach to religion beyond the jihad part, and it’s a mistake to think otherwise. But with Turkey is the easiest country to make that distinction because it was that country’s history that provided us with the most vivid example of it. The Ottoman Empire was very Islamist but not fundamentalist at all.

KnightoftheImpaler on February 2, 2006 at 8:02 pm

I saw Busey a few years ago with his attorney getting coffee waiting for one of his court appearances, which screw-up I don’t remember. He looked very humbled and pretty stupid in a cheesey looking suit. He’s even brighter now after the brain surgery.
Stealing organs comes right out of that ridiculous other bleeding heart fantasy of a movie that got rave reviews. The movie had INS agents chasing aliens in NY, please, those agents haven’t chased anything that wasn’t glazed and round in 25 years!

code7 on February 2, 2006 at 8:37 pm

Well, I’d say the one good thing that can come of this never-has-been actor selling out to the enemies of civilization is that it lets the public see Turkey for what it really is. If they had it together in my mother country they’d start making movies with American whore actors too, believe me they’d be much different. We’d love the kind of movies my cousins back there would make if they had a lot of money, and the Hollywood establishment would absolutely hate them.

KnightoftheImpaler on February 2, 2006 at 8:59 pm

I am very disappointed in Gary Busey. He became a Christian a few years ago, according to reports. I cannot, therefore, understand his defamation of Jews in this movie.

Sue Bob on February 2, 2006 at 10:53 pm

I heard the same thing, but obviously it does’t mean much to him. Granted, some Christians are still anti-Semitic but no true Christian would work in concert with Muslims to defame Jews.

KnightoftheImpaler on February 2, 2006 at 10:58 pm

Heh, check out the IMDB plot summary. It has that, “In a story that is TOTALLY COMPLETELY TRUE…” aspect to it that reminds me of semi-retarded frat-boys who swear they once saw “some guy” do “this really cool thing.”

Russell Wardlow on February 3, 2006 at 1:09 am

Note: the “totally true” event the summary refers is, well, … not so much.

Russell Wardlow on February 3, 2006 at 1:09 am

Maybe that motorcycle-helmetless accident and crushed skull busey had several years ago made him crazier than he was beforehand.
Does this help or hinder Turkey’s attempt to get into the European Union?
How about instead of calling on “all Jewish doctors” to refuse to treat, we ask that “All American doctors” refuse to treat?
THAT’S A GOOD POINT. ALL AMERICAN DOCTORS SHOULD REFUSE TO TREAT THAT IMBECILE.

So, it’s just a movie? What would be the outcry if Bussey dressed up in blackface and played a “Steppn’ Fetchit” type character? I doubt folks like Sherlock would be quite so sanguine.

Rob Smith on February 3, 2006 at 7:58 am

Busey doesn’t represent mainstream Christianity with his actions in this movie. These celeb conversions are on a par with jail house conversions most of the time.
Anyone remember Busey on Stern when he practically molested Robin? Saying he’s whacked is being kind.

Jeff_W on February 3, 2006 at 9:17 am

The ‘sack incident” referred to occurred because the 11 turkish soldiers caught were suspected of plotting to assassinate a kurdish official.
Click here to read a Turkish news account.
So even the “true” part of this movie takes on a Michael Moore-ish slant.

In Busey’s defense he might be as surprised as everyone else when he finally sobers out.

rjschwarz on February 3, 2006 at 12:17 pm

Funny, he doesn’t look Jewish :-)
Seriously, It’s hard to believe that Turkey is a member of NATO and was once one of Israel’s few friends in the Muslim world. Looks like radicalization has taken it’s hold (yes, Debbie, you did talk about this before, I remember in some other blog actually taking you to task about you being extreme on Turkey but you’re response then was right, my info was obviously old).
For any American actor to be involved in this is a shock. Debbie, while I do sometimes think you go overboard, I hope this is one of your blogs that gets out into the mainstream, like the “Flight Plan” review that led to a flight attendent boycott of the movie that made national press. I always thought Busey was a kook to begin with, but I liked Billy Zane in “Titanic” and have now lost all respect for him. There wasn’t some cheesy reality show the two of you could’ve been in to make money instead?

hairymon on February 4, 2006 at 12:04 am

I live in turkey and we have seen objectively USA soilders kill iraq peoples .You couldnt war against civil peoples and in all wars have to some rules. But USA’s all rules are about iraq’s oil and money. We can war because of our honor,we are going to military by having party’s but your soilders going to war for money, for iraqs civilians blood . This movie show the truths that peoples live in iraq . Maybe Usa peoples wont like that but this is USA’s real, like your say USA dream ! murderers …

templar on February 4, 2006 at 10:15 am

Gary who?

KOAJaps on February 4, 2006 at 1:35 pm

Honestly as you are all anti-turkish now, because of a movie? How come, eventough all those violence in Abu Ghariab Prision and in Iraq-and it is REAL- why not those muslim people be
anti-american? Please be honest, in Hollywood movies muslims always shown as a terrorist, crazy, ignorance, silly, dumb…You always show us like that.In that movie “Valley of the Wolves” if you watched it, it gives messages to all moslims about being suiced bomb is strictly forbidden, and killing an innocent person is equal to killing all people which is said by Quran(Suratul Maidah:32): “Unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.”
As you know there are fundamentals and un-fundemantals in all religions. But Holywood and the people of American who are feeding by Holywood movies knows Muslims all fundamnetals and terrorists. This is not TRUE.
They asked to Billy Zane why did he acted on that movie? He said:”It is just a movie and being actor in this movie shows that i m a patriot.”
Please if you are realy peacemakers warn your government if it is a realy democratic country and if you have freedom of warn your government so warn them not to contunie killing innocent people in this region any more.Because it is gonna be a big war of civilizatons soon.Non of any citizen of the earth want that.
OH, YEAH, BILLY ZANE IS A REAL PATRIOT . . . JUST NOT TO AMERICA (BUT DEFINITELY TO THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR, OR IS THAT LIRA?). AS FOR HOLLYWOOD AND MUSLIMS, NAME ONE MOVIE SHOWING MUSLIMS AS TERRORISTS, SINCE 9/11, IN WHICH THEY ARE PORTRAYED AS ANYTHING BUT SYMPATHETIC. YOU CANNOT. AND MOST HAVE OTHERS, NOT MUSLIMS, AS THE TERRORISTS, B/C AS WE ALL KNOW THE REAL TERRORISTS WHO COMMITTED HIJACKINGS, BLOWING UP BUILDINGS AND EMBASSIES, BEHEADINGS ARE ALL SAMOANS, NORWEGIANS, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS, FEDERAL AIR MARSHALS, SESAME STREET CHARACTERS, ETC., ETC., ETC. . . . .

I absolutely agree that at this point in time such a movie is just asking for trouble. In recent years, government-owned television stations in Egypt and Syria have broadcast dramas that repeat the blood libel. Though I found an interesting point of view at this blog here http://tarkandeluxe.blogspot.com/2006/02/america-in-valley-of-wolves.html which links to your article Debbie. A comment if you will?

Check out Busey’s profile here;
http://www.buseyworld.com/garynews.htm
This is Gary Busey talking about talking with the grim reaper while recovering from his motorcycle accident;
People Magazine, 1990
Okay, this one’s really weird. About his recovery from a motorcycle accident: “One night…at [the hospital], I was sitting in bed…and saw the Grim Reaper standing in the corner. He was seven feet tall, with a brown robe. He pointed to me and said, ‘Relax, it’s not your time to go. You have been given gifts. These gifts are ready to be received by mankind. So get on your feet and improve.’ Then he laughed, spun his scythe and left. I wasn’t asleep and I hadn’t been for days. Whether this was a premonition or an angel in disguise, I don’t know. But it was a positive reinforcement to stay on the road to recovery, which I’ve done.”

So has anyone here seen American History X? Or Schindler’s List? Both fine films, both featuring characters that are clearly anti-semitic, and in the case of American History X, one of those characters is played by Edward Norton, one of the finest actors in the last 50 years. Is he, (or the film) racist or anti-semitic for portraying those themes in a film? Of course not, because we are talking about art, and art is not always pretty. Not every movie can be the Sound Of Music. Sometimes you need an Apocalypse Now.

peelpolice on July 12, 2007 at 11:22 am

I’ve heard of Gary Busey…who’s Debbie Schlussel? I’ve never heard of you.
Anyway, I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous as suggesting that doctors do not treat an actor because of a role they have taken. It’s not real…he’s acting.

Frogz on June 19, 2008 at 8:14 pm

You are going to be sued for calling Gary a “antisemite” you wacked out witch. You watch. I will be giving him the money my self to do it. You can not get away legally with that. You over stepped your self with this article. It is LIBEL in its purest form.

I will make sure you get a day in court for this one. Your propaganda is not going to be allowed you think that you can do it but you will pay money for this one. Someone takes on a role to do his art and you lie and slander and also Liibel someone with no proof at all they are “antisemetic”.

You try to call on doctors to not take care of someone because the do a role in a movie. Your a sick sick woman. You need help. You can not call your self a reporter you are a propaganda whore.

William Morgan on January 21, 2010 at 5:50 am

How DARE an American act in a film that shows Americans as the bad guys? That is absolutely ridiculous! How dare they! It is ONLY the Americans who have the right to portray others as bad guys.

The massacre at a wedding party alluded to the one in May 19, 2004 at Mukradeeb, Iraq where American soldiers massacred 42 Iraqis in a wedding party. Too fuelled by outrage to look that up, eh?

Jim Johnson on July 1, 2010 at 3:16 pm

We have portrayed sooooo many one-sided views of the other side and we are so arrogant that I see no big deal with this movie existing. Since when do we own the world-wide monopoly in points of view? The movie simply does the opposite. Besides, the crimes in the perverted, corrupt, Iraq War are real. Don’t be so upset Debbie, there are COUNTLESS international actors who have played the bad guys from their own countries before. Zane and Busey doing the same, uncomfortable as it might feel, is nothing extraordinary. The movie is upsetting but we are not exactly angels. Try to explain to the families of the truly innocent Afghan civilians brutalized recently in Afghanistan (and whose pictures were publicly shown worldwide), that we mean no harm and see what kind of a response you get. We appreciate your candor exposing the Islamo-fascists Debbie, good job there, but please, don’t become a cheap tabloid journalist only because you are offended by someone else’s point of view.
