PUH-LEEZE: Check Out What Ben & Jerry’s is Doing to Gloat Over Gay Marriage

By Debbie Schlussel

I’ve always believed that smart brands stay out of politics. Sadly, many brands believe it’s their duty to shove left-wing BS in our faces, and that especially includes Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. On this site over the years, I’ve written about why Ben & Jerry’s should be ice creama non grata for any freedom-loving American, and that’s for reasons other than that it’s filled with unhealthy fat and sugar. It’s not just that B&J paid for the PR firm that represented Jihad Cindy #2 (anti-American, anti-war, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic Cindy Sheehan; Jihad Cindy #1 is Cynthia McKinney). It’s also that B & J and its namesake founders are big donors to anti-American, pan-Islamic foundations like the Tides Foundation. And, now, Ben & Jerry’s is even more in your face with its new pro-gay marriage celebratory ice cream. Read the rest of this entry »

Harley-Davidson’s War on White Men

By Debbie Schlussel

When I was a grad student in the University of Wisconsin Business School, getting my MBA, I and a few other classmates did some consulting for Harley-Davidson, which is based in nearby Milwaukee. Even though I don’t ride motorcycles, I was proud of our work, as I always thought of Harley as one of the quintessential American companies. But I’m not proud of Harley Davidson anymore. You see, Harley Davidson has decided to go to war against White males–its core customer group. Read the rest of this entry »

Can My Neighbor Still Drive His General Lee? People Who Demand Confederate Flag Dumping Tell Me to Tolerate Muslim Hate

By Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve mentioned before, there’s a guy in my neighborhood who owns one of the few original “General Lee” cars driven on “The Dukes of Hazzard.” I wondered, this week, if he’ll be allowed to drive it around town, now that we’ve ascribed all kinds of evil to a flag, rather than a sick, murderous evildoer. After all, the car has a Confederate rebel flag on top of the cab. And then I remembered all of those mass murders of Blacks that occurred at the hands of those of us who saw the rebel flag while suffering through Jessica Simpson’s horrible “Dukes” movie (read my review) and those who watched the original “Hazzard” on TV in the ’70s and ’80s (I was not a fan of the show). “Gone With the Wind” features a Confederate flag, too. Should that be cinema non grata, too? Read the rest of this entry »

VIDEO: Another “Father” w/ His Balls Cut Off

By Debbie Schlussel

Host, commentator, and 4-time “Jeopardy” champ Adam Taxin and I made this video/audio about three weeks ago, but it’s so appropriate today, given that it’s Father’s Day. We discussed actress Zoe Saldana’s hubby, Marco Perego, and his decision to change his surname to hers. We also discussed the general chickification of American society and men who take hyphenated last names – what could go wrong? Watch/listen . . . Read the rest of this entry »

Happy Trans-Father’s Day: My Real Dad & America’s Many Fake Ones

By Debbie Schlussel

Me and My Dad, Ten Days After I Was Born

My Dad (Center) Receives Award From Michigan Lions Club for Providing Free Eye Care to the Poor, Blind

Every year I write about Father’s Day, and the great influence my own terrific father, H.L. Schlussel, MD, Of Blessed Memory, had on me. Today would also have been his 78th birthday. Sadly, today is not a day most Americans honestly celebrate dear old dad. After all 364 other days of the year America celebrates “trans-fathers,” the reason we are sinking as a nation. We have trans-gender, trans-racial, and, now, trans-father figures, including soon to be on the $10 bill. Read the rest of this entry »

40 Yrs Later, Jerk Richard Dreyfuss’ Leftist Kids Remember “Jaws” – VERY Funny

By Debbie Schlussel

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the 40th anniversary of the movie, “Jaws.” On June 20, 1975, the scary shark movie debuted in theaters. Normally, I laugh at the silly marking the anniversaries of movies and other pop culture (unless it’s an exceptional, important movie, like “Death Wish”). Pop culture isn’t history and shouldn’t be elevated to it. That said, last year, I heard this very funny (and non-political) interview, below, with star Richard Dreyfuss’ (of whom I’m NOT a fan) uber-lefty kids, Ben and Emily Dreyfuss, regarding the movie and what people say to them. Where I’ve Been & Back Soon

By Debbie Schlussel

To all of my friends and readers who’ve inquired and expressed concern, yes, I’m okay, thank G-d. The bad guys haven’t gotten me yet. But an alignment (or misalignment) of the stars kept me from posting anything this week until today because of a combination of things. Part of the time, I was very sick from working hard and staying up all night to get something I’m working on done. One of the days, I was also in court all day. And I am desperately, hurriedly trying to finish a couple of projects I’m very excited about and which I’ll be announcing soon. It kills me that I was away this long, which I rarely or never am. And I never want to do that again. My movie reviews will go up soon along with one or two other things. Read the rest of this entry »

Wknd Box Office: Jurassic World, Farewell Party, Madame Bovary, 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared

By Debbie Schlussel

Though my reviews are late in being posted as I wasn’t able to finish them before the Jewish Sabbath began, you aren’t missing much. The relative highlight–with “relative” being very much the key word here–is the remake/reboot “Jurassic World,” but even that is just okay. Not bad, but not great. Read the rest of this entry »

Another Famous Actor Down With the HAMAS/ISIS Jihadist Struggle

By Debbie Schlussel

Matt Dillon w/HAMAS/ISIS CAIR Rep @ Muslim Grievance Theater Event

Apparently, actor Matt Dillon thinks hooking up with HAMAS/ISIS jihadists will revive his acting career . . . or something. While he was once a big deal in Hollywood decades ago, today the 51-year-old is a has-been. He hasn’t done anything in years, and his one decent gig, “Wayward Pines” on FOX, is designated low-ratings summer fare. So, now, Dillon is hanging out with the jihadists from the HAMAS co-conspirator CAIR and decrying the treatment of Muslims. Read the rest of this entry »
