Debbie Schlussel: Affirmative Action for Fish?

A New York Times article, decrying the lack of variety of fish in the ocean, goes on and on about a loss of "fish diversity." The word, "diversity," appears in the brief article TWELVE times.

The word "diversity" is also the constant excuse for discrimination against whites and males in the name of racial, ethnic, and gender preferences, also known as "affirmative action." Gee, maybe they should have fish affirmative action? But that's not the way nature works. Or the way government and business should work, either.
