Debbie Schlussel: Kudos to Celine Dion: Canadian Singer Donates $1 Mill to Hurricaid

I've been critical of celebrities and Muslim countries, both of which have been slow to offer help--and that's a charitable way of saying they have thus far done zilch.

But not Celine Dion. As much as I make fun of her and her songs, now she deserves my and all of America's thanks.

She stepped up to the plate and donated $1 million dollars. We should remember this. And remember those who made their fortunes off of American fans and didn't follow Celine Dion's lead.
