Debbie Schlussel: FBI: American Horse Farm Held Hostage, Day Eight

By Debbie Schlussel

We're not fans of Ted Koppel. No way. But we remember that the show he formerly hosted was not originally called "Nightline." It was called "America Held Hostage, Day [X]." It was a nightly count and report on the siege on the U.S. Embassy in Iran and the kidnapping of American hostages in the late 1970s.

Their fight reached our shores on 9/11. We'd never make light of our brave American hostages then held in Iran, but we choose to honor them--the first American hostages of extremist Muslims--in pointing out that, while our FBI is supposed to be fighting the War on Terror,

THIS IS DAY EIGHT OF THE FBI SIEGE ON AN AMERICAN FARM

in search of Jimmy Hoffa. Thus, begins our daily count of the continuing saga of an FBI farce.

AMERICAN FARM HELD HOSTAGE, DAY EIGHT.
