Debbie Schlussel: Federal Air Marshals Off to London Heathrow
As a result of this morning's publication of details of a Muslim plot to blow up planes from Britain to America, Federal Air Marshals are off to London in droves for an extended period of time.
There are a huge number--hundreds--of FAMs being deployed. All days off and leaves are cancelled, and they are all in the air.
Homeland Security's Michael Chertoff told FOX News about an increased presence of Air Marshals (although he was not clear about numbers and locations, thankfully), this morning, and Air Marshals confirmed it. The operational details are--correctly--still confidential. But if you are flying from the British Isles to the States in the near future, you will be safe (unless you're a terrorist).
Federal Air Marshals say this is the biggest operation they've done since Lebanon-Cyprus evacuations of Hezbollah-supporting "Americans" done a month ago when there were 150 Federal Air Marshals in the air on those planes--for obvious reasons.
