Debbie Schlussel: HOprah Watch: Out of Touch Oprah's 1st Time in a Non-Limo
Yet more evidence that Oprah Winfrey, HRHSBoTU (Her Royal Highness, Supreme Being of the Universe), is completely out of touch with mainstream America:
Yesterday, she and her "best friend" Gayle King went on a road trip across America in--shock of all shockers!--a car. And, even more shocking, Oprah actually had to drive. HRHSBoTU announced that this was her first time in a non-chauffeur-driven limo in years, her first time actually driving a car like the rest of us cattle from America's coach section. Yes, your wife, girlfriend, daughter, gay male friend, and wimpy, metrosexual stay-at-home Mr. Mom husband are all taking their advice and "lifestyle instruction" on "how to be your best self" on a daily basis from a woman who does NOT drive a car and only rides in limos.
And they made fun of President George H.W. Bush for being amazed by a check-out lane scanner?! He's got nothin' on HOprah when it comes to being out of touch with America.
