Debbie Schlussel: Yet Again: Denver Area Cop Murdered by Man Contemplating Islam
Our friend, Rocky, at Rocky Mountain Neo-Con just alerted us to this breaking story:
Yet another "random," "crazy," "lone" Muslim shot and killed an Aurora, Colorado police detective last month, according to a report, today, from CBS4 Denver:
Brian Allen Washington, 27, told arriving officers, "I shot him," referring to Det. Michael Thomas. . . .
Washington also reportedly told officers, "It's OK, I'm federal, I'm with the nation."It is unclear whether Washington was referring to the Nation of Islam. . . .
Washington faces eight counts, including two charges of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Thomas.
Washington also faces several charges in Denver, including attempted first-degree murder, illegal discharge of a firearm and menacing, for allegedly shooting at a 55-year-old woman who was in her car stopped at an intersection Sept. 18.
Two days after that shooting, Thomas was shot and killed while he waited at a stoplight on Peoria Street at Montview Boulevard.
Thomas, 52, was 24-year veteran of the Aurora Police Department. . . .
[Washington's mother] said her son had been talking about the Quran, saying he was God and that he wanted "to go to Iran to become Muslim and become president."
The information in the affidavit supports what police said in the days after the shooting: that Washington did not know Thomas and that he randomly picked him and the woman he is suspected of shooting at.
But, it had nothing to do with the "Relgion of Peace," right?
