Debbie Schlussel: Well, Sesame Street Really Did the Job
Last year, I told you about how millions of our tax money goes to finance Sesame Street in such Islamist locales as Bangladesh, where a newspaper editor, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, is on trial for his life for wanting to travel to Israel.
Now, there's news that ongoing violence between Islamist protesters, members of 19 Bangladeshi political parties, and equally extremist police officers has continued for days.
First Muslims rioted--throwing stones, bricks, and homemade bombs as a blockade--in order to stop January 22nd elections from happening. Then Muslim police officers beat them with batons and shot rubber bullets at them.
Glad to see that Sesame Street, via our tax money, has made Bangladesh such a peaceful and tolerant place.
I suggest a better use of our tax funds: More elephants.
