The produce industry--and even the cover of USA Today's Money Section--are abuzz with the latest food innovation: Fizzy Fruit.
Through some kind of patented process Fizzy Fruit took carbonated water and infused fresh fruit with it. One company executive calls it "this generation's pop rocks." Except that it's healthy.
Food industry movers and shakers believe this new product, which doesn't alter the freshness of fruit or add any sugar, will revolutionize the fresh produce industry and alleviate some child nutrition concerns, interesting more kids in eating fruit instead of junk food.
If any readers have tried this product, how does it taste? What is it like? Fizzy fruit is now on sale at 7-Eleven and Wal-Mart in 15 Southern States.
But the company needs to change its hard-to-navigate website.
