Debbie Schlussel: Congrats to Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin for Stopping Akon; Ingraham Mentions Schlussel On FOX News
Several weeks ago, I wrote about Akon, the Muslim "American" Idol. An ex-con with disgusting lyrics, he engaged in rough simulated-sex onstage with a 14-or-15-year-old at a concert in Trinidad. Akon, a Muslim anchor baby who practices polygamy, also appeared on "American Idol" doing a duet with Gwen Stefani.
Nationally syndicated radio host Laura Ingraham and Michelle Malkin discovered that Verizon was not only sponsoring Akon's tours, but selling ringtones of his vile raps. Today, after just a day of protesting this, they and their respective listeners and readers got Verizon to drop Akon's ringtones. A total divorce of the company from this cretin is the next goal.
Congrats to Laura and Michelle. And thanks to Laura for mentioning me and my column on Akon on her show today and on FOX News Channel's "Your World With Neil Cavuto." That video is at Hot Air. (Plagiarist Sean Hannity could learn a thing or two from her.)
Conservatives can make a difference in stopping corporations from whoring themselves--and America--out to this kind of depraved audio-porn.
One bad apple down, so many hundreds of others to go.
