Debbie Schlussel: Homeland Security's Muslima Supermodel Gets a Lot of Work
Remember the Department of Homeland Security's new Muslima supermodel? Her face appeared prominently in a DHS employee recruitment "Expo" ad, and I nicknamed her "Sawsan." (Sawsan starred in the same ad, which excluded Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from the designation of "Law Enforcement".)
Well, it looks like Sawsan is getting a lot of work as the spokesmodel for the Islamicization of America. Last week, I was in Dearbornistan with a friend, and I picked up a Muslim newspaper. Guess who we saw smiling at us in an ad pimping government-backed (ie., your taxes), interest-free, Sharia-compliant Islamic loans?
Why it was none other than Sawsan and her arranged-marriage husband, Mohammed (behind whom she dutifully stands). Yep, they came straight from getting their new jobs with non-"Law Enforcement" ICE at the Ronald Reagan Federal Building to the "American" Finance House to get their LARIBA (means "no interest" in Arabic) backed by your tax dollars. They needed a larger loan because rooms are needed to house all the wives besides Sawsan.
So, just how much money did Michael Chertoff and the folks at DHS pay Sawsan in her latest foray into Islamic supermodeling?
Who knows, but between Homeland Non-Security ads--funded by your tax money--and ads for no-interest loans--also funded by your tax money--these days, it seems that Sawsan is getting more work than even Giselle Bundchen.
Time for Giselle to don the hijab to get more work? Post-9/11, the squeaky Muslims get the grease.
