Debbie Schlussel: Immigration & Customs Enforcement, The Audio Sitcom
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have been sending me this brief audio comedy about Portland ICE, though it could be about any ICE office.
While it's funny, I think it should be making fun of incompetent ICE honchos at Headquarters, like The ICE Princess, Marcy Forman-Friedman a/k/a "Peppermint Patty" (ICE Director of Investigations), and ICE's own George Costanza, John Torres (Director of Detention and Removal). Also deserving , select Special Agents in Charge, like Michigan/Ohio Brian Moskowitz a/k/a "Abu Moskowitz" (more about him, later today), who make ICE the butt of jokes and laughter.
These incompetent and knowing job evaders are the ones who are a comedy, while most of their agents are dedicated but frustrated patriots who just want to enforce immigration and customs laws but are prevented from diligently doing so by the bozos named above. And most of the agents with whom I've had contact are quite smart, whereas the dummy mentality in this comedy is best suited to the very top people at ICE HQ (whose intelligence doesn't extend much beyond CYA and media fact-time).
I do like the part about how all 150 agents were sent to do one raid on a company in the sitcom audio. That's what actually happens--only on a national scale. Hundreds of agents nationwide, for example, were sent to party for a whole week in Denver, before raids on a meat-packing plant, last year.
Your tax dollars at work. It's not the agents who made that decision, it was the unaccountable higher-ups I've named herein who did.
Don't expect that to get any better under the burden of the pending giant Z-Visa bazarre. It will only get worse.
