Debbie Schlussel: Product Review: Reese's Elvis Peanut Butter & Banana Creme Big Cup

By Debbie Schlussel

I generally shun junk food, but being an adventure-seeker, I will often try the limited edition candy bars when they come out. Usually, they don't taste any different and aren't worth the money and the calories.

Reese's new "Elvis Peanut Butter & Banana Creme" Big Cup (which is kosher) is no exception. It sounded intriging, and for only $1.00, I figured it was worth a try. Elvis' real-life concoctions of banana sandwiches always sounded good (never tried them). But this one isn't. (I wonder how much Lisa Marie Presley and her new Elvis-licensing partner, Charles F.X. Sillerman--who also owns "American Idol"--fot from The Hershey Company for this.)

You can barely taste the banana creme, which is vastly overpowered by the peanut butter. And I was reminded why I stay away from junk food, aside from health reasons. It wasn't to flavorful and more like a mouthful of sugar. Pass this one up. It's a letdown.

Why did I get The "KING" Size (get it--"The King"?)? For now, it doesn't come in a smaller size.

FYI, I tried this a few weeks ago, so it is not the reason I'm sick today.
