Debbie Schlussel: Megahed UPDATE: Smiling "Just Fireworks" Terrorists Had Bullets, Pipe Bombs in Trunk
Still smilin' . . . for now. The Tampa Tribune reports that Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed and Youssef Samir Megahed, the two Smiling "Just Fireworks" terrorists from the University of South Florida (University of Sami's Friends) had multiple pipe bombs and bullets in their trunk. Sheriff's deputies found them after they searched the car in a speeding stop. And they said they were just celebrating the weekend and barbecuing? Interesting way to do both.
The question is what were the "mysterious" items?:
Among the items found in their Toyota Camry were a box of bullets and several pipe bombs. C.W. "Butch" Henerey, second-in-command at the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, says there were other mysterious items in the trunk, as well."We thought we knew what they were," Henerey said of the pipe bombs in an interview with The Tampa Tribune. He added: "We didn't know everything we were looking at."
The "othery mysterious items" probably include the liquid that was sent to the FBI lab for testing. That was reported not long after their arrests.
