Debbie Schlussel: Yaaaawn: Brad Pitt/Skankelina Voight Produce Cat Lady Programming
The look-at-my-staged-saintliness celeb pseudo-humanitarians Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Voight are producing a new HBO series on humanitarian aid workers.
PBS called and they want their yawn-worthy programming back. Then, the two 68-year-old socialist cat-ladies who'd actually watch called and said they can't watch it since they don't have cable. Warm milk called, too. Doesn't want to compete for insomniacs.
Somehow, I'm sure this boring idea will go over real well amidst HBO programming of R-rated movies and semi-porn episodes of "Real Sex" and "Tell Me You Love Me."
If HBO will run this tripe and the Jolie-Pitt Skankouple will produce it, that's more evidence than we need that our tax-funding of PBS programming needs to finally end. It's being replicated by those who can afford it far better than Joe and Josephine Sixpack.
Exciting.
Oh, and by the way, don't be surprised if Skankelina's precious Palestinians are featured front and center with the "humanitarian" (HAMAS)aid workers. As I've written, they're among her faves.
