Debbie Schlussel: Sign of the Times: Halle Berry Pays Tribute to Islamic Arabia
First, she disparaged Jews' noses to Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." And now she's given her kid an Arabic Muslim first name. Yup, Halle Berry named her illegitimate kiddie, Nahla--a Muslim name, which, depending on transliteration from Arabic, means either a drink/sip of water or a bee. Nahla, incidentally, is also the first name of Mrs. Sami Al-Arian, wife to the founder and worldwide chief of Islamic Jihad, now in federal prison. And it's the name of a champion race horse in Saudi Arabia.
All things Arabic and Muslim . . . it's the new black. (And, no, by that, I don't mean skin color.)
