Debbie Schlussel: Border Crimes Tonight on PBS; Plus, A Better Use of ICE's Alien Raid Dollars
**** UPDATE: Read this related New York Times piece about "Border Agents, Lured by the Other Side" And don't forget what didn't happen to Daphiney Caganap. ****
I hate to give a plug to anything on PBS a/k/a "Palestinian Broadcasting System," given that I'd increase its ratings from the two 73-year-old cat ladies who watch it.
But tonight, PBS will air a "Frontline" special about crimes at the Mexican border and corrupt Customs and Border Protection agents. Here's a preview--and yes, the part with Mozambique songs about eco-toilets is for real; and they wonder why no-one watches PBS:
Other video from tonight's show:
A Smuggler Tells How Easy it is for Aliens to Cross Into America . . .
ICE Video of Alien "Load House" . . .
On a related note, San Diego area Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents just rounded up 905 illegal aliens. And guess what? It didn't cost $10 million dollars, the amount spent by ICE to arrest 306 illegal aliens in Iowa.
Well, if it didn't cost millions and they didn't rent out a giant cattle exhibition center and fly in a thousand agents from all over the country, then I guess it's not important.
