Debbie Schlussel: Hezbollah Accusers on Our Soil With the Govt's Blind Eye
These last several Friday morning, including today, I've been defending a Shi'ite Muslim against fraudulent criminal charges, thus my lag in blogposting. Why am I representing this person? Well, not for the money--the man is poor, and I'm doing this pro bono, even though I can ill afford it. And I've represented several others like him.
But here's why I'm doing it (and why I've represented the others). This man has gone out of his way to work for both the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as an informant on Hezbollah drug and alien smuggling. And there's more positive stuff about him, which I can't reveal here at least not yet. Sadly, one of his relatives found out and told a Hezbollah supporter who knows him. Since then, the Hezbollah man has filed all number of false police reports against my client because he helped the U.S. government. He's made similar false charges against other parties, and the charges were dismissed.
And there's more: the Hezbollah man smuggled people (including my client) into the U.S. over the Canadian border for a living. ICE doesn't care and did nothing about it. My client is not illegal as he has asylum--Hezbollah will kill him. And the Hezbollah man is involved with drug smugglers and other Muslim malefactors in the Detroit area. And he's involved with faulty insurance claims. He crashes cars that were already in salvage and files false insurance reports to collect. But, hey, he says, "The insurance companies are all owned by Jews and Christians. So, it's Halal money."
He told anyone who'd want to know that it is his goal to put my client behind bars and bankrupt him because my client loves America and hates Hezbollah. And don't kid yourself: that's the view of the majority of Shi'ites in America.
There are lots of stories like this in the Detroit area and all over America. Some rare patriotic Muslims who hate people like Hassan Nasrallah--as my client does--help the government as informants. But when the enemies on our soil make false accusations against them to get revenge, the government looks the other way and does nothing.
Based on my experience in this and other cases--I've represented other Muslim informants who've been similarly treated or worse--I would not recommend to a Muslim that he/she help the government. In fact, the only way to be treated well is to be anti-American. Then, you have all of America's top officials licking your toes.
My point in this post is that this is what's going on in America: Hezbollah agents are pulling out all the stops, including all manner of criminal behavior, to sabotage the few Muslims willing to help us. In turn, our government treats them shabbily.
