If It's All-Star Week, DHS' Abu Moskowitz is Busy Rounding Up Hispanics to Keep You Safe . . .

Major League Baseball's All-Star Game takes place, this week, in the heart of Islamic America, Detroit. So, to keep us all safe from bus, train, skyscraper, airplane, and other assorted Islamic terrorism bombings and explosions, Detroit Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge Brian Moskowitz (a/k/a Abu Moskowitz) has a plan: He's stashing t-shirts and arresting Hispanics.

Abu Moskowitz's spokesman, Greg Palmore, tells the Chicago Tribune sports section that ICE agents are hard at work protecting you from the "terrorism" of counterfeit goods.

And Moskowitz is busy arresting illegal aliens to get his name and mug in the papers and spotlight. But guess what? Like every other day since he's ridden into town on his miniature carousel horse, those illegal aliens aren't Muslims or Arabs. No, they're Hispanics, who don't have a guy like "former" PFLP terrorist and FBI award revokee Imad Hamad (Mid-West Director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee) sidling up to and becoming best buddies with Abu Moskowitz for various favors, special treatment, and job interviews for Hamad's nephew.

Take yesterday. Moskowitz sent ICE agents to Comerica Park (site of the All-Star festivities and home to the Detroit Tigers) to arrest Eduardo Sanchez, a Hispanic illegal alien who was delivering ice. On Thursday, a busload of Hispanic Illegal aliens was arrested in nearby Taylor. But while frustrated ICE agents have begged to go to Michigan Avenue, Warren, and Schaeffer--the streets surrounding Detroit and Dearborn's Muslim neighborhoods--to arrest Islamic illegal aliens they know of, they are strictly forbidden. That's a no-no, uh-uh--strict orders from Abu Moskowitz, lest he upset his buddy Hamad. (No, instead of deporting illegal alien, Islamic terrorists, they are running Moskowitz's agent recruiting efforts.)

So, for now, if you are Hispanic and here illegally to deliver ice or t-shirts, stay far away from Brian Moskowitz. But if you are Muslim and/or Arabic and here illegally to help your friends in Hamas or Hezbollah, proceed as usual. ICE guys can't touch you (per their boss, Abu Moskowitz), unless Moskowitz figures he will get bad publicity otherwise and has no choice.

No wonder, in the heart of Islamic and Arabic America, ONLY FOUR PERCENT of deportations are to Islamic and/or Arabic countries, and Lebanon is the only Muslim and/or Arabic country among the top ten nationalities of deportees from Michigan in 2004. In the heart of Islamic and Arab America, more than 2/3 of the deportees were from Hispanic countries, like Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Dominican Republic. It's incredible, but by design. Abu Moskowitz's design.

Questions: Is Brian Moskowitz prejudiced against Hispanics? Does he discriminate against them in enforcing the law? Does Moskowitz practice chauvinism toward Muslims and look the other way? Answers: Look at the numbers. An overwhelming YES, YES, and YES.

Maybe they should change the name to LICE: Latino Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Debbie you should be writing a column for the New York Times. I get the feeling the mainstream media go out of their way to marginalize and isolate you. Do you feel that way? By the way I'd rather deport Abu M. and keep the delivery guys any day.

I emailed Brian Moskowitz to ask him why he was choosing to do his job in such an odd manner.

I cc'd his boss my two senators and my representative, and I rec'd an undeliverable on the boss's email address (Marcy Forman).

I just wanted to pass this on.

It is shocking that Debbie is pretty much alone in exposing that great holes in American security.

From an Israeli perspective, (the only one I am qualified to offer)the United States, despite the best advice from it's friends and allies, has chosen to view the terrorism threat as a financial opportunity only (ala' Fox News)and has made no serious moves to prevent attacks within the United States borders.

Wake-up my American friends! Terrorism is real, and it is not about Israel....it's about Islam!

But doesn't this overlook a couple of points? ICE (a horrible acronym - do their offices now have a Kraftwerk soundtrack pumping in them?) is responsible for customs in addition to immigration, so the ho-hum responsibilities of this sort of enforcement falls to them. Given the large amount of illegal merchandise that's imported via illegal methods, it's not a insignificant undertaking, nor, due to the extent of the problem, one that can be ignored.

Also, what would an acceptable fraction of deportations to Arab & Islamic countries be? Is four percent necessarily a small percentage? Nothing in your post, or in the Detroit News story linked in your post, does anything to put that number into perspective. Certainly Dearborn/Detroit is the center of Arab & Islamic America, but what does that one fact alone tell us about the expected percentage of deportees? It seems that deportations would be a function of size of the community, percentage of a community that holds US citizenship, proposensity of immigrants to arrive in the US illegally, and propensity of the immigrants to commit crimes/violations that are deportable offenses.
