BREAKING SCHLUSSEL EXCLUSIVE: Germany Trades Terrorist Murderer of U.S.' Stethem for Hostage in Iraq
Reuters reporter Philip Blenkinsop asks, "What did Germany do to free Susanne Osthoff and will the nation's first Iraqi hostage even come home?"
Answer: Germany traded the freedom of Hezbollah terrorist Mohammad Ali Hamadi, who tortured and murdered Navy Diver Robert Dean Stethem, for Osthoff (a convert to Islam).
Within three days of Hamadi's release, Osthoff was released. As the French might say, "Quelle coincidence!" (What a coincidence!)
And it's yet more proof that Hezbollah is working with Al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq. As Shia and Sunni extremists, respectively, the groups may hate each other, but they hate us more and long ago buried the hatchet to join forces, according to The New York Times.
Also, consider the fact that a German diplomat told Reuters several weeks ago that "the Geman diplomat's comment that told Reuters several weeks ago that "Osthoff's kidnappers likely wanted a ransom and that the government would not hesitate to pay."
So Germany does, in fact, negotiate with terrorists and denies justice in order to trade for hostages. Nauseating. See more below.
*** UPDATE, 12/20/05: Well, today, Reuters noticed our reports from yesterday, and suddenly came out with "their own." Of course, we don't expect Reuters to credit us in the blogosphere. That would be like calling terrorists "terrorists"--a big no-no in the Reuters style book ("militants" is the sanitized euphemism of choice).

German a$$wipes. This will only encourage MORE hostage-taking. And...the hell with American treaties and agreements.
As an aside; Why didn't the German government call the 7th century barbarians' bluff and wait to see if they would murder a fellow Mooselim? Ohhhh, that's right, I forgot...in Islam, everything goes - even murdering a fellow Mooselim is kosher if it advances the cause of Islam (it's in the Qur' an. Everyone should have a copy in their house - I do...I use it to wrap dead fish, and as a plunger when my toilet backs up).

How could Merkel betray us, for a convert to the cult of death and hatred of Merkel and all her kind? Does America have any friends other than Australia and Thailand and Japan?

I hesitantly trackbacked with your break... and Reuters now confirms!

"They said Mohammad Ali Hammadi, convicted of killing Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem during the 1985 hijacking of a TWA flight diverted to Beirut and sentenced to life without parole, was flown back to the Lebanese capital last week."
I'm left wondering if he's actually walking the streets of Beirut without his head chopped off...

Germany is now an enemy of the United States. They have aided and abedded the escape of a known terrorist, murderous, Islamofeces.scum!!! I was serving in the Marine Corps at the time of this hijacking. And any one that knows, the Marine Corps has a kinsship with the Navy. For Germany to free this Islamofeces scum back to pick up where he left off, is inescusible. Osthoff was a convert to that "religion of peace". There is no way that they were going to kill her. And even if they did, that would have been further proof that they don't even value the lives of their own followers. The koran states that if it is good for the spreading of Islam to kill one, then do it. may be not in those words, but you get the picture. Germany has proven that they have no moral backbone when it comes to the war or terror. And are even bigger cowards that the French. Releasing Hamadi under cover of secrecy reeks of betrayal. Lets see if the brownie points that they (the Germans) think that they've score will keep them from being added to the list of countries to feel the sting of the Islamofeces scum "rightous wrath". Lets see if Fraudline Osthoff will repay the German government with undying loyalty or with the expressed compasion of that "religion of peace".

some background information, concerning the case of Hamadi:
He was sentenced and has served his time in prison. His case wasn't handled any differently to that of a German who had murdered another german. This is just the way our justice systems punishes murderers. Normally they sit for 15 years and thats it. We can still discuss wether this is a reasonable law, but to change it the law would have to be changed. After WWII the western allies tought us this new concept, the rule of law, and as a result to imprison somebody there has to be a fair trial with an independent court and a law prohibiting the offence in question and describing the punishment.
Asking the Chancellor to imprison him further or to handle him over, doesnt work, because the Chancellor doesn't have the power to order this. You see, after WWII, the western allies thaught us this other thing as well, separation of powers, where we formerly only had one Fuehrer, and as a result the whole question is decided by the courts and the justice system and not the executive branch of government.
And in my eyes this is NOT a question of pro- or antiamericanism, but of values and ethics, which really seem to differ a bit on different sides of the atlantic. Still I feel it as a bit strange, that these values were previously taught to us by your ancestors. In this way I feel that we might be developing in different directions, which strikes me as very unfortunate.
anyway, just some thaugts I had...
Cheers
Bernd
