Schlussel Finalist for Jihad Watch's Anti-Dhimmi Of the Year

By Debbie Schlussel

Belated notice that I was nominated and was a finalist for Jihad Watch's "American Anti-Dhimmi of the Year," for "the American who has displayed the most courage, heroism, refusal to blink, and steadfastness in telling the truth despite jihadist intimidation peaceful and violent."

Wish I would have known, so I could have sent votes my way. But it's an honor to be nominated by the great Robert Spencer who is the real, supreme anti-Dhimmi. And great company to be in (others were Tom Tancredo--who won, and the brave Andrew Whitehead who is being targeted by extremist Muslim group CAIR for absurd litigation designed to silence him. Out of six finalists, I was tied for third with Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

My favorite comment: "Debbie Schlussel. It would be a shame to see her covered up in a burka."

Jihad Watch is the excellent site of Robert Spencer, author of many best-selling books on Islam--all of which I recommend highly, especially his latest one (a great holiday gift, especially for the ignorant about what Islam is really about), "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (And the Crusades)". It has been on the New York Times Best-Seller List for some time--and deservedly so. Want to know what a "dhimmi" is? Read Robert's excellent work to find out. (Hint: It's what we infidels are considered and the way we are treated by Muslims in the societies they rule.)

Thanks, Robert, for nominating me. I respect your work tremendously.

I'm sorry I did not mention it to you. I don't remember who first nominated you.

I nominated DhimmiRice for Dhimmi of the Year. It's the 'power wasted' thing and that 'ignorance of Islam' thing about DhimmiRice. Remember her fawning over the 'holey koran' after that false story about koran flushing? If anyone wants to give Ms. Rice a gift, I would second Debbie's recommendation and send her Spencer's book P.I.G. to Islam and the Crusades. Of course you'll have to pry that Esposito fantasy novel or Armstrong romance novel out of her hands.

i don't know if the Jan/Feb issue of *Mother Jones* is available yet...but got an advance copy & was reading Richard Dreyfuss' article last night, which is almost a summary of his upcoming book "Devil's Games: How the United States Helped Unleash Fundamentalist Islam", and i was thinking as i read it---Does Debbie know about all this???

EminemsRevenge, you a reader/subscriber of "Mother Jones"? Shocking!

I bet this is a very accurate summary of Dreyfuss' book: It's totally America's fault. The title says it all.

I would vote for a Tancredo/Schlussel ticket. That would be great.
