Ilan Halimi, Z"L: "Religion of Peace's" Latest Western Victim
Over the last week or so, I've been getting a lot of mail about Ilan Halimi, who was tortured and murdered by Muslim gang members in Paris for the crime of being a Jew. Each press account--from the Jewish and Israeli media--of how he was tortured to death is disturbing. More disturbing, however, is that we've seen NOTHING on this in the mainstream press. Today, was his funeral.
It needs to be noted that Halimi is an Arabic-sounding surname. That's because Halimi was a "Sephardic" Jew whose family, like many Jewish families, emigrated from an Arab Muslim countries either because they were kicked out of their homes, were escaping anti-Semitism, or both. His family emigrated from North Africa. But unfortunately, the anti-Semitism and intolerance of the "Religion of Peace" emigrated from North Africa, too. As Islam comes to dominate the West--starting with Europe--the violence and hatred, which dominates the religion, comes with it.
For those who say, "Jews, Out of Palestine," Ilan Halimi is the dead example that even leaving countries the Muslims perceive as "theirs" won't stop Muslims from saying "Jews out of . . ." everywhere else. What they really mean, what they've always meant, is "Jews, Out of Existence."
From Clara Beyler's excellent account of Halimi's murder on Israel's YNet (website of newspaper, Yediot Achronot):
For three weeks, the "Barbarians" detained and tortured Ilan Halimi. When he was found on February 13, he was naked, handcuffed after being dumped near railway tracks in a Parisian suburb. He suffered from severe burns covering 80 percent of his body. Traces of cigarette burns, iron burns, and various cuts (made by knives and scissors) covered his body. He passed away in an ambulance before reaching the hospital.Police arrested about a dozen suspects so far. The gang leader's was finally arrested in the Ivory Coast where he went into hiding two days after Ilan's death. The "baits" used to trap Ilan, three women, are also among the suspects.
However, there must have been many witnesses to the crime, which spread over weeks. The shrieks and screams brought on by torture must have been heard by some of those living in the building where the horrific scenes were taking place. Yet not one soul, not even one anonymous caller, alerted the police in the suburb of Bagneux.
Halimi's killers had ties to HAMAS, and they've tried to do the same thing to other Jews:
The items found in the torture chamber included extremist Islamic literature and leaflets of a pro-Palestinian charity blacklisted by the United States and Israel. The charity, the Comite de Bienfaisance et de Soutien aux Palestiniens (CBSP), a Hamas-affiliated fund, is still active in France despite the exposure of its members and financial support tying it directly to terrorist activities in the Palestinian Authority.What happened to Ilan is not the first attempt of this kind. The gang tried to pull off similar crimes before with four of the six previous victims being Jewish. Similar stories are only now surfacing.
If it can happen in France, it, of course, can and will happen here. Last year, a Jewish doctor in my own city was nearly killed with a knife by his Muslim patient, who called him a "dirty Jew." The Muslim was charged with a hate crime. I, myself, have gotten death threats from Muslims for the sole reason that I am Jewish. I take those threats very seriously. It is only a matter of time for more Halimi-style violence on our own soil. It is already here.

I remember reading about this last week and it totally slipped my mind. No thanks to the wonderful western media that chose to ignore it. I first read about it at Jihadwatch thanks to Robert Spencer.

I would like to hear more about the neighbours and friends who dropped by to help out with the torture. I sure hope the authorities dig into this. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this happened. What would surprise me, is if didn't.

I know all-too-well what it's like to be singled out, called names, and picked on for being Jewish. I learned very early how to fight, and how to stand up to those that would try and intimidate me with their bigotry or racism. I've never had to face a situation where my enemy accosted me with a gun and kidnapped me for the purpose of harming me. My thoughts have been with Ilan Hilimi's family since I learned of this last Tuesday.

The religion of Islam is basically the "religion of Satan". What is the "religion of Satan"? The "religion of Satan" is the religion of "hatred and murder". Judge Mohammed's followers by the "fruits" of their works. Everywhere the followers of Islam practice HATRED and MURDER against EVERY religion!
Being a French-Canadien Catholic, I would compare my religion to a Ferrari. Because I drive around in a "Ferrari" I consider it somewhat laughable when someone who drives a "Kia" tries to drag race me at a stoplight. I don't feel challenged to respond. If Muslims are so sure of their religion, as I am sure of mine, why are they so bellicose?
The presence of God brings peace, not war or chaos. I hope they know it and I hope they find Him.
That being said, practitioners of war, need to be rooted out and stopped. And much more needs to be done in this regard – not less. I still remember the missionary priest who visited our parish to request funds for his mission to rebuild his village in Africa. He was deaf in one ear, could only stand for a few minutes, had poor concentration, and walked with a pronounced limp – all "gifts" from his Muslim captures so many years ago. That is the "face" of Islam that I will always see! But - at least he still lives.
My sad and heartfelt condolescences to the family and community of Ilan Halimi.
That the mainstream media does not report every account of these types of crimes worldwide is an evil conspiracy of silence. Let us see Islam in its true light! What is the media afraid of...that we might rally and respond - you bet we will! Give us ALL THE FACTS and let us, the world community, be alarmed, rally, decide and execute, proper courses of action.

Im shocked to see this degree of hate come from anyone...and to think a whole society is happily helping such crimes make me wonder why any civilized society would want these kind of people there to start with..

The French are inveterate antisemites. They are alarmed at the murder but will do nothing of consequence to discourage further such crimes. Were it up to me I would roast some Imams over a slow fire along with the "neighbors", and wrap them in bacon. Honest to God, how stupid can a society be? We let these animals roam at will, kill at will, and haven't even the guts to kill them. My condolences to the family.

It's good that I got myself a Typekey account. Thanks for posting about this, Debbie. My folks were in Paris last week and learned about the horrifying case. At the hotel my parents were staying at, one of the managers let them know when the gang had been caught, and was glad that the scum had been captured. The Muslim-led gang should all rot in isolated cells for the crimes they committed.

Alphonse Halimi(and-Robert Cohen)was a Jew from Algeria with 17 brothers and sisters,who won the world bantamweight title in the fifties.He later fought out of Paris.I can understand the Halimi family being livid over both the French media-and police,ignoring the Jewish factor in this horrific crime.Alphonse was one of France's biggest sports heroes-and he fought with a Jewish star on his trunks.It's time to replace France's leadership with Inspector Clousseau or Steve Martin.

My gut reaction says the DP World deal is bad but I think I need more info. I want to know details and I all really get offered by most is opinions. We need the details then we can better decide.
