HOprah Watch: True Colors--Oprah's Racism Out in the Open

Printer Friendly

By Debbie Schlussel

It's long been evident that Oprah doesn't like White people.

At her falsely-named "Legends Ball," no Whites were invited (an exception was made, though, for half-Whites like Mariah Carey and Halle Berry, who were raised by their White mothers but identify with the Black fathers abandoned them). At the Legends Ball, there were all kinds of statements against Whites made by Oprah in the ABC primetime special produced by Oprah. And there were the various comments she and her bizarre "correspondents" made on her shows regarding Hurricane Katrina, in which they said that President Bush would never have let this happen if they were White people (which many of the victims, indeed, were).

And there have been many other cases of this over the years.

Now, in case anyone missed the many examples, Queen Oprah HRHSBoTU (Her Royal Highness, Supreme Being of the Universe) has made it clear, once again, that she enjoys that all but one of the employees at the Harpo Productions Plantation are White. On her Oprah and Friends XM channel debut yesterday, she and significant other Gayle King had this conversation:

Gayle King: You could work for some good White folks.

HOprah [in a put-upon Black slang accent, making fun of her grandmother]: I hope you get some good White folks like I did 'cuz I worked for some good White folks.

Gayle: They're so nice to me. They give you clothes and food.

HOprah [still in Black slang accent]: They give you clothes and you get food to take home. And they give you good clothes, too, not all worn out. That's what my grandmother used to say to me. And I now say that I wish she had lived to see that I did grow up to get some good White folks--[yelling:]WORKING FOR ME!

Gayle [also yelling]: WORKING FOR YOU!

HOprah [still yelling]: WORKING FOR ME!

Gayle: Hehehehe! [laughs at "White folks"]

HOprah: All these good White folks.

Gayle: There's [sic] White people everywhere.

HOprah: ["White folks"] Everywhere--only one Black man in here.

Gayle: ["White folks"] Working. Hehehehe! [laughs again at "White folks"]

HOprah: There's one ["White folk"] everywhere you look. There's George [a "White folk" employee of HOprah]. More White folks, thumbing up. Yeah, George is giving the thumbs up

Gayle: "I'm a Good White Folk."

HOprah: Hehehehe! [Laughing at her "White folks."]

Listen to the audio. Oprah's racism is evident and disgusting.

Well, at least, she didn't call us "Crackers" or "Honkies." That we know of. Oprah said that her conversations aired on XM are taken from her nightly phone conversations with Gayle, and that they are heavily edited because a lot of the information can't go out over the air. We'd bet she's a lot less "generous" to us "White folks" in the part that didn't make it to XM's airwaves.

We wonder how "all these White folks" who watch her show and made her a billionaire enjoy being known her derogatory comments and epithets. Well, they probably don't care because Oprah got it wrong. Those who work for her, watch her show, and buy her silly magazine are not simply "all these White folks." They are "all these stupid, moronic White folks" . . . which is not to be confused with the rest of us who have the good sense not to honor or worship at the alter of this billionaire, racist psychobabbler.

And, by the way, don't think Oprah is a crusader for Black men, either. Few of them (and few men of any color, for that matter) are portrayed as good guys on her show. Black men on her show are criminals, rap stars who hate women, gospel artists addicted to porn, married, cheating bisexual men on the "down low," and NBA stars who abandoned their kids.

She doesn't like Jews or Israel, either, but loves Islamofascists. More on that at Oprah Sucks.

The usual Oprah hypocrisy.

I think this is just an act to make black people think she is still "one of them", same as Mariah Carey and Halle Berry. They know they have the white audience so this is a cynical (for dummies) attempt to keep blacks and white simpletons on their side. Plus, this gives her enormous sympathy when she doesn't get her way, such as that Frenchy store incident, so she can claim racism.

This woman knows her audience. Black people love her because they think they can get rich and famous like her. Stupid white people love her because it gives them a "safe" black person to love. Plus, stupid chicks love soap operas and fairy tales, which Oprah's image has been created as.

She's a jerk, but I really don't think Oprah hates white people as mostly white people have made her rich and I really don't see her spending a second of time with a typical middle class black person after the cameras are turned off. Oprah just can't admit she likes white people or she'd be labelled a sellout. She's a brilliant marketer of that image.

You can take the girl out of the ghetto, but you can't always take the ghetto out of the girl.

Imagine if Bill Gates had a "Legends Ball" and invited only whites. What a howl from the media, the professional outrage industry and the Democratic party that would cause. Yet, fatso does it and nary a peep.

"At her falsely-named "Legends Ball," no Whites were invited."

I had no idea that Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Diane Sawyer, Mike Nichols, Barbara Walters and Maria Shriver were black.
They were all invited.

WHILE THEY WERE INVITED TO SOME OF THE SIDESHOW FESTIVITIES, THE WEEKEND WAS PRIMARILY BLACK ONLY. WHEN WAS KATIE HOLMES PART OF THE "YOUNG'UNS" (THE YOUNG BLACK "LEGENDS")? SHE WASN'T. WHY DO YOU THINK OPRAH MADE SO MANY COMMENTS ABOUT HOW ONLY BLACK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THIS AND WHITE PEOPLE WON'T UNDERSTAND THAT, ETC., ETC., ETC. I'M SURE YOU THINK IT WAS NICE FOR HOPRAH TO INVITE THE WHITE SLAVES TO THE MAIN HOUSE FOR SOME LEFTOVERS FROM THE BLACK MASTERS. FOR THE REST OF US, IT IS RACISM.

Masters (Augusta)golf club in Atlanta does not allow women. Should we call all the golfers who play in Master, sexist. Collin Powel is a member so is first president Bush. Should we call them sexist too?

Debbie is simplify everyhting.

HARDLY THE SAME THING AT ALL. BUT IF YOU DON'T LIKE ME, QUIT SPENDING SO MUCH TIME HERE. YOUR OBSESSION WITH ME IS AMUSING.

Debbie,

thanks for exposing Oprah for who she really is. Like Katie (amongst other lefty info babes), we usually only hear about them in glowing MSM terms. "Her Royal Hughness" has annoyed me for years; but, then again, I'm only a southern, redneck, hick, racist, homophobe incapable of any aspect of critical thought. Shame on me!

Imagine a white person saying something like that. HOprah would jump on that and have a week's worth of shows dragging a white person over the coals for saying the same thing about a black person.

HOprah worshippers without a doubt are some of the most simple minded sheep around. It's simply amazing how people have been duped by this phony narcisist.

There's no accounting for taste. The continued Hoprah obsession just shows how the stupidity of her followers. They deserve each other.

Posted by: BobG [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2006 08:57 AM

I guess Hoprah would be considered a Black Leader-ette, as Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton are Black Leaders. Ths similarities being they all made money from extorting White corporations. But are they leaders or are they 'Pied Pipers' leading their followers to their doom. The followers never change their status and after following these 'leaders' seem to be nothing more than freshly minted victims of some inane cause, that these so-called leaders invented.

But to be a good follower one must meet a criteria of a certain level of stupidity. Case in point How many of these loyal (fools) minions actually believe that George W. Bush is responsible for bringing Hurricane Katrina to New Orleans, far too many, or that the President blew-up the levees.

These people, these self-styled, all important self-annointed leaders have one thing in common, it is not about their 'fools' it is all about them and sadly their followers don't or can't see the truth. It is slavery with a new wrinkle and it goes by the name of socialism.

How is different from Gays or lesbians not permitted to join the scouts or the army? By the way Debbie, I am not obsessed with you. I am interested on discounting the mis information you feed your crowd

Gayle King, Celine Dion, and John Kerry walk into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, "why the long faces"? Ba-dum-bum. Thank you, I'll be here all week.

I never thought about it before, but now that you mention it, she does have a rather vertical visage, doesn't she?

"WHILE THEY WERE INVITED TO SOME OF THE SIDESHOW FESTIVITIES, THE WEEKEND WAS PRIMARILY BLACK ONLY."

For goodness sake, the list of whites I posted were invited to the Legends Ball, the grand centerpiece of the entire weekend, not to "sideshow festivities."

You do realize the black race was severely oppressed until 1964. Let these women have their celebratory weekend, and their moment in the sun. They've more than earned it. Only the heartless would think otherwise.

Posted by: Avalon [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2006 10:50 PM

Call me heartless, but I find the above comment amuzing. First of all you're talking about something that started hundreds of years ago, second of all, I think you're missing the point...if there was a white celebrity that has a huge event that only invited other whites, I'd be willing to bet the media and the black people of the world would have alot to say about it.

And one more question, when will talks of "oppression of blacks" and "slavery" ever end? I can only imagine how horrible it was to live through that era, however, it's part of history and clearly nothing that we deal with today nor anything we can change now. So why live in the past?

Lets face it, Oprah got where she is at today because of the fact that she is black and that she is a woman. For her to claim that people discriminate against her and to have a plethera of shows with topics of racisim is a darn shame. I believe white people gave her her start in the 80`s . She would never have race for a topic back then. if you happen to see one of her shows they are on topics that only she is interested in and that she can profit from. She also for years mentions the fact that she was raped a little too much. let me tell you something, if she was raped she would not be able to speak about it so freely. Which leads me to believe it never happened. She just wants her cult of soccer moms to feel sorry for her. By the way who raped her? Was it a family friend? Is he serving jail time? Why do you think she wasnt happy when her father was going to write a book? Most daughters would be proud of their dad. Gee I wonder why she is upset about that? She is also a complete hippocrit. We all know that she is an advocate for domestic abuse. Last week she had a female guest on her show that murdered her husband. And basically Oprah was trying to justify the murder because he abused her. That was an absolute discrace that she would attack a man while he could not talk back because he is six ft under.

The following day she has on Denise Brown and one would think she would agree that OJ simpson abused her phisically counless amounts of times prior to him murdering her in cold blood. It seemed as though she was taking OJ`s side. She had the nerve to say to Ms. Brown regarding the book that Oj said she was a slut, whore , and a drug addict. Again justifying the murders in a way. Now was it necessary for her to talk about the dead in that way to Ms. Brown regarding her dead sister. She is a racist to the fullest extent.
