Let's change the law so that we can ship the entire bunch of invaders back to where they belong.

We will have to make it more difficult for these people to want to stay. It's the same with stray animals hanging around your house. The more you feed them, the longer they'll stay. I for one am tired of supporting them. Their governments needs fixing to where these people can earn a living in their home countries.

A picture is worth a thousand words. The one you are sharing is troubling to see, for it shows that the illegals that come here, do so not with thankfulness in their hearts, but with a 'go to Hell' attitude. No doubt, that if all the illegals were rounded up and forcefully ejected back into the hell-hole they came from, that they would soon realize the great blessing that was theirs. It is my greatest fear, that we will have to fight for our lives from them some day, for their personna is evident that they are takers and not givers. Our government has placed us all in jeopardy, by putting the common citizen in close proximity to those who would bite the hands that feeds them.

Not just "Habitat for Illegals" but apparently a free pass or a mini-amnesty for those fugitive aliens who happen to be women and children or teens. This is ridiculous - there was nothing to prevent their equally swift deportation with the father other than the agents felt sorry for the women and children? Do they honestly think they are going to trudge on down to El Salvador to join daddy once he leaves? Mom will continue to punch out anchor babies once the father returns in a few weeks and they had fled and relocated to another address, right? The illegal kids will continue to take advantage of medical, education, WIC, etc, right? It sounds far more cost-effective and in the taxpyers best interest to remove them all -as the courts ordered.

Why in the world would they not take the rest of the family and deport them all together? Why break them up because the agents feel sorry for the women and children? Is there now a law that deportation does not apply to women and children? Then why did the judge bother issuing those orders if no one is willing to deport them because it just tugs too much at their heartstrings or might involve a little work and effort on their part in making the arrangments to accomodate a family? There are places to hold them while they await deportation; this is a poor application of the law these agents are sworn to carry out.

As an ICE agent, I can tell you that WE, as agents, do NOT determine what the laws are or the regulations on how those laws are to be applied - laws are determined by CONGRESS, and regulations on their application are drafted after a period of public comment; policies are also drafted by senior executives within an agency (including ICE) to restrict (due to political sensitivities or financial constraints) how the agency will enforce those laws.

You are absolutely correct: There are many laws that call for many different things to happen to individuals and families not entitled to immigration benefits in the U.S. However, ICE agents are bound not only by law, but by regulation and agency policy on how those laws are to be enforced. If you are not happy with how current U.S. immigration law is being written or enforced, I strongly suggest you start by writing your SENATOR and CONGRESSMAN, and start demanding accountability from them. However, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT go about blaming ICE agents for the current sorry state of affairs regarding immigration law and enforcement in this country when we have little control in this area.

Our government does not care about our safety, and any effort that is made to stop these people from coming in or being taken out is all a dog and pony show. As tax payers we are presently fighting a loosing battle. The very agencies that have the job of deporting illegals are in competition with the agencies giving them benefits to want to stay here. ICE is all for show. We have a government that talks out of two sides of it's mouth. The guys in Washington listen to the lobbyist, and look forward to that big fat pension. Solution? I think my deceased Father in Law was a wise man. Before his death 24 years ago, he said this country would see a revolution in my lifetime. Well said, Eugene.
