Socialism is used to describe any system where the wealth distribution is subject to social control.
Democracy is used to describe a political system in which people have a say in the government.

Certainly with entitlements (disability, Social Security, Medicare, progressive taxation brackets), there is an element of socialism in the American system, and there is also an element of democracy.

Taken together with your equation of "social democratic" = "Nazi" then we get the idea that the United States, and in fact most civilized countries, are in fact Nazis.
