Flabulous Filmmaker vs. Sexy Starlet: Michael Moore Investigated; Why Not Charlize Theron?
So, flabulous fake-umentary maker Michael Moore is under investigaton by the Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for making the upcoming docu-fakery, "Sicko," in Cuba, apparently without a license.
I'm all for that investigation. But, one question: Did actress Charlize Theron have a license to travel to Cuba for her fake-umentary, "East of Havana" (about Cuban hip-hop)?
I mean, this is one case where there may be discrimination against fat people. Why can't OFAC investigate BOTH of them? Why should Theron get away with possibly violating our travel embargo on Cuba, just because she's thinner and attractive?
We conservatives believe in equal treatment and true equality for the pale, calorically-endowed and the excessively Mystic-Tanned, calorically-deprived.
What's good for the goose, is good for the Theron. Send your letters suggesting a Theron investigation to:

Does the U.S. Department of Treasury have any authority to investigate Charlize Theron? Isn't she a citizen of South Africa?
SHE'S LIVING HERE, AND THEREFORE, SUBJECT TO U.S. LAWS. NOT SURE IF SHE'S STILL A SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZEN OR WHAT HER U.S. IMMIGRATION STATUS IS. GOOD QUESTION.

Unfortunately, the case against Moore will go nowhere. President Bush, unlike his predecessor, frowns upon using the organs of the state against his political opponents, as Clinton had used the IRS to intimidate his/her detractors. There will be a hue and cry from his Hollywood cronies about freedom of the press and that Republicans and (in hushed tones) Democrats had not only visited the jewel of the Communism, but Syria as well. Justice will back away fearing a backlash and it will be business as usual, only more so.

Sorry, but this is absolute proof that the entire Administration is stupid. Now they go out of their way to give the Moore movie national publicity that he couldn't buy at any price. I am at the point of not wanting to read anything at all about these clueless clowns other than "Bush Resigns." What morons.

If she is not a US citizen then she can travel where she wants.
NOT REALLY. SHE'S HERE. IF SHE FLOUTS OUR CUBAN EMBARGO, SHE IS SUBJECT TO DEPORTATION AND SHOULD BE (IF SHE'S NOT A U.S. CITIZEN).
