Welcome to D-Mecca, Sanctuary City
It's official. Detroit is a sanctuary city--where the weak are killed and eaten, and illegal aliens are holier than thou.
Detroit decided to become a sanctuary city out of deference to its Muslim residents and friends--and a little prodding from CAIR. After all, the Banana Republic of the Detroit City Council must make sure that, like the Fort Dix Six Islamic terrorists (who intentionally operated in sanctuary cities), Detroit's Islamofascist malefactors can do "the job Americans just won't do," without any interference from law enforcment.
Here are a few excerpts--along with my analysis--from the reporting on this story by Detroit Free Press resident Islamist Niraj Warikoo:

An ordinance that bans profiling was approved Wednesday by the Detroit City Council. It prohibits police and city employees from asking about the immigration status of residents. The council voted unanimously for the law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, dress, physical appearance and immigration status. Under the new law, police cannot ask people for their immigration papers unless it was related to a crime.
Dumb Debbie Question: It's not a crime to be here illegally?
In Detroit, some immigrants complain that, after being pulled over by police, they have been asked for residency papers. Others say they are afraid to apply for city help or programs such as home-repair assistance because of their immigration status.
Hmmm . . . Illegal aliens afraid to take America's tax-funded services? And that's a problem because . . . ?
"It's not something a city employee should be asking," said City Council President Kenneth Cockrel Jr., who introduced the bill. "It's not within their purview."
Dumb Debbie Question #2: So, Detroit Police Officers don't take that oath that most other police in America take, swearing to uphold the laws and Constitution of the United States? What's the frequency, Kenneth? Ever hear of the Immigration and Nationality Act?
The ordinance was introduced after talks with Latino, Arab and Muslim groups. . . .On Tuesday, Detroit Police Chief Ella Bully-Cummings . . . said the department is against profiling and that police should not generally enforce federal immigration laws.
Dumb Debbie Repeat of Question #2: So, Detroit Police Officers don't take that oath that most other police in America take, swearing to uphold the laws and Constitution of the United States? Ever hear of the Immigration and Nationality Act? Ella Bully-Cummings is supposed to be a lawyer, but she hasn't a single clue about the law, quite apparently.
Dawud Walid, head of the Michigan branch of the Council of American-Islamic Relations, said he is pleased with the council's vote. "The city of Detroit should be seen as a place that is not hostile to immigrants."
Translation:
The city of Detroit should be seen as a place that is not hostile to immigrants involved in the Islamic terrorist groups I openly support and refuse to denounce, like HAMAS, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, etc., etc., etc.

Yes, man or woman - who can tell? No doubt the women save a lot of money on grooming - razors are expensive!
Another lovely member of the RoP.

This is un-freakin-believable! Let's give the illegals each a city funded ombudsman too so they can start to graft in on the broken city and state budget too.

The illegal invasion has undermined the authority of the entire government and legal system. Middle America doesn't believe in the sanctity of the Flag or the Constitution anymore; they see it's just an illusion. There's nothing holding this country together but inertia.

''In South Korea, a collective sorrow over Virginia shooting:
As news spread that America's worst killing spree was perpetrated by a South Korean who has lived in the US since 1992, reactions among South Koreans have ranged from profound personal shame to a fear of reprisal''
Compare this to the Saudis after 9/11...no regrets, only that the Jews were behind it!

Hi Debbie, have you read 'Shantaram' by Gregory David Roberts? The book is a bio of an Aussie guy who falls in with a bunch of International Islamic crime-lords from Afghanistan,Palestine,Iran who operated a bunch of scams from Bombay in the 80's including Drugs/Gun,fake passports, identity theft,Money laundering,Hawala...the author writes quite a bit about how he was involved in these illegal activities with the Afghan mafia, and their modus operandi...
http://www.shantaram.com/pages/authorfacts.html
I am sure it will be an illuminating read for any western spooks or Customs and Immigration agents who are involved in analysing Islamic Mafias...

The Doctrine of Interposition was resolved in 1865 at Appomatox Courthouse.
Any city or state that interposes itself between the federal government and its occupants needs to have its charter revoked and all elective officers arrested.

Walter, I'm with you, they should all be arrested.

"The ordinance was introduced after talks with Latino, Arab and Muslim groups. . . ."
Hmmm I can't put my finger on it but something is missing here.
I agree arrest them all! I really believe that we are doomed. We have lost our will to protect our country and our culture. We have multicultualismitis. We as a society value other cultures and races more then ourselves. We are being invaded largely by people who hate us. They care not one whit about the Constitution nor Western Culture. As a matter of fact many of these invaders are taught to hate us. The end of all this will not be pretty.

I hate to digress for a moment, but to the preceding poster--while I am sure we are allies in this thing--I wish you could change your handle. We all hate islam, but by using your "style" we all lose---DS--I request you email this poster with the rules of the road on DS.com.
Now to the posts by Walter E. Wallis and steve ventry -- I agree--if this is the way the law works--we should push to have it enforced and make this a cause. Debbie, maybe you could write a story on this precedent and then Vannity would run with it (hey, now that we know how he works...---think about it...:)
This precedent makes you wonder about the many other instances of treason by lawlessness--so many examples could be given. I ask myself then, if this precedent IS established law--why do we NEVER see any of these anarchists arrested?
Oh yes, I do know of one rebel who was removed from the bench as a State Supreme Court Judge--in Roy Moore. His "anarchy" was in keeping the 10 commandments on display in the courthouse (based on the state's constitution itself--but in opposition to the higher US court ruling). Now that's a real crime that deserves punishment, right?

Yeah well they gotta be consistent...I'm guessing Detroit has the world record for cops pulling over "drivers" with suspended licenses.

When government officials do not fulfill their sacred oaths of office and do not uphold the law and the constitution of the United States - they are by definition outlaws. They should 1. lose their jobs 2. Be prosecuted 3. Spend a lengthy time in jail.
If the feds do not get a grip on this, but fast, it will give rise to self-appointed civilian vigilantes attempting to take direct action on their own. Not a good thing.

Detroit also had people sit around and watch a 90 ish near old man get beat up with a car jacker. Boy did they look pathetic.
Detroit...a sink hole no doubt.
